About Providing Day Care services for Adults across North Tyneside Impressum The Tynemouth Village Day Centre is a charity which is independent of any other national or international charity and is a not for profit organisation. All proceeds are ploughed back into the day centre to provide the best possible cost effective day care services without compromising the quality of service provided to our members. We offer a building based day centre with outreach for the people in need across North Tyneside who feel that they would benefit from social interaction with others and the opportunity to get out of the house, make new friends and take part in different activities. Our members include people who are socially isolated, people with memory problems, mobility problems or who attend for carer relief. We provide a day care service which is respectful, caring, and acknowledges people's need for choice whilst being as independent as possible. The service focuses on people's individual strengths and skills. Members are consulted on all aspects of the service and carer input is encouraged. Transport is provided using our own easy access bus with escort/carer support. Taxis are occasionally used if this is easier or more suitable to the individual
