"We are a Centre displaying examples of the heritage and culture of Howden and the surrounding area. Our permanent displays include Howden Minster and the Bishop's Palace. Temporary displays are changed every couple of months. A display of archaeology finds is now included as well as a display about the R100 airship which was built locally in the 1920s.You will soon be able to listen to oral histories recorded by our volunteers. We also have a small meeting room and talks are given in the main exhibition area about local history.Guided walks are led from the Heritage Centre around the 25 blue plaques and also along the R100 walk, which runs along the main market place to show the size and extent of the airship."
