Beautiful place with lots of history

Beautiful priory church with an amazing history, set in lovely countryside on the edge of Salisbury Plain. We visited for the music festival, which was outstanding.  Hopefully back again next year.

Definitely worth a visit

Wonderful priory in quiet surroundings, full of history, and mysteries. One of which, is the stone coffin placed on top of the boundary wall, who's in there?

I visited Edington Priory Church on Sunday 28th November, for its Festival of Light service. I received a warm re-welcome, as I am known to the people there, due to my attending the Edington Festival most Augusts, since 2014 and moving to the west country. The congregation and clergy remembered me and a good time was had by all. It was a lovely, partially candlelit service. The building is magnificent too and if you're into older buildings and history I would thoroughly recommend a visit to Edington Wiltshire Priory Church.

I was a choir boy here many many years ago , such a beautiful special place , built in 1361 and as magnificent now as then.

Beautiful church; tranquil, too. Make sure you put what you can, in the donations box in the wall.

This place has a fascinating and complex history, with many physical structures from across the centuries.
