I highly appreciate hand made, all the shop is mugs and utensils made by craftsman.. nice design like a drawing on the utensils, it’s very beautiful! Traditional and wonderful pottery to visit it in Isle of Skye.

This is a fascinating pottery to visit, with real craftsmen using traditional methods to make beautiful pottery. I can't understand the reviews saying they found the owners unfriendly - when I went, I asked the owner about his methods, and he was kind enough to give me an impromptu tour of his workshop and kilns, tell me about a fire they'd had a few years ago and the work they were doing to come back from it, discuss their glazing methods, etc. Perhaps people are making the mistake of assuming that the place is a regular shop and that the owner is a salesman - he isn't, it's a workshop, and he's a craftsman. When you walk in, he's usually busy making pottery, and doesn't immediately leap up to greet you - but if you speak to him, ask him about his work or discuss an item with him, you will find him enthusiastic and helpful. The goods are not expensive for what they are - entirely hand crafted, traditional pottery. A wonderful place, if you are interested in pottery you must visit it when on Skye.

Lovely items but rather expensive. Not so much as a hello when I entered and not particularly friendly. The cat was cute though!

Not even a hello just looked through us. Not an enjoyable experience. But the complete opposit from the Edinbane Hotel fabulous meals and very warm welcome.

I enjoyed my visit and came away with a mug, whilst the pottery is good it is expensive.
