Exceptional service during my first ever blood donation at the Edgware Donor Centre.nnFrom the moment I arrived, I was made to feel completely at ease. I'd particularly like to highlight the outstanding care provided by Rahman, who conducted my initial checks. He patiently addressed all my questions and performed all necessary checks before the donation, which significantly helped me feel comfortable and relaxed. His professional and reassuring demeanor made the donation process go very smoothly.nnThe positive experience continued after my donation as well. The staff were all incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring everyone was well looked after. The selection of drinks and snacks was much appreciated, as was the clear aftercare advice provided.nnThanks to the wonderful team at Edgware Donor Centre, my first blood donation was a truly positive experience. Friendly staff with parking for donors . You can get free parking upto two hours . Mind you there are works so if you are new like me and follow maps you may need to enter from the main gate of the hospital. The staff was great at every step of the way of donation and snack where good too .
My brother had an appointment today at 3:20 pm at Edgware Blood Donor Centre, but staff refused to let him donate because his English is not perfect, even though I was there to support him as his interpreter. The receptionist and a nurse behaved in a rude, offensive, and racist manner. They said a donor must be fully fluent in English – but after checking NHS Blood and Transplant guidance, there is no such requirement, and the centre is responsible for providing interpreter support if needed. I have already filed a formal complaint and emailed NHS Blood and Transplant about this unacceptable treatment.nShame on you.
A small but wonderful blood donor centre. Staff are amazing. Professional, friendly and supportive of donors. They get to know the regulars and are genuine in seeing how people have been between donations. The centre has 6 beds for platelet/plasma donation and 3 for whole blood donation. All areas are light, clean and fully wheelchair accessible. There is ample free parking for donors when they display the parking pass available at the reception. Being a busy centre, it's strongly advised to book in advance. Walk-ins are welcome and they accommodate where possible but there can be a wait.
