Just wanted to let folks know about my experience as a parent who’s daughter is now In year 9. She is the youngest of my 4 children and without doubt this is the best secondary school that any of my children have attended. The pastoral care is simply outstanding. Students are nurtured to be the best they can and encouraged to play an active role within the wider community. They’re taught the importance of responsibility ,tolerance, compassion and working for the common good. Academically the school is top notch , they support student of all abilities to achieve outstanding results. My daughter has received appropriate intervention when necessary and I have been kept informed of her progress. In terms of constructive criticism I would suggest eden works to improve the range and quality of school lunches.
Some of our students attend Eden Girls school and we are very impressed with the outstanding education the school provides. As a Muslim based faith ethos school and consistently attaining the highest progress scores nationally, is testament to the outstanding leadership and hard work put in daily by staff and students. Overall, the school puts Waltham Forest on the map. Keep up the amazing work!
I am a father of two girls, both of them attend Eden school. I feel extremely lucky and proud that they are being schooled at Eden. Since its formation, Eden has been an exceptional school and continually aims to raise its standards. Eden is a friendly school where everyone is treated as part of one big family. Academically, they are the best in the borough, and one of the key factors to this is the unrelenting support the teachers provide their students, in achieving their best. As an example, students needing some extra help are encouraged to attend special intervention classes. Progress is monitored and parents are regularly kept up to date. Eden, not only focuses on academic results but also provides opportunities for students to attain life skills, through its learning; essential for the future. Eden has contributed immensely in nurturing my daughters into confident, disciplined and tolerant members of society. Eden, keep up the good work, long may it continue!
I have applied for a place at Eden Girls' School and I really hope that my daughter is accepted into Y7 and can join the Eden family in September. I know many children of friends and family who attend the school - it is their experiences that convinced me that this school is the one for my daughter. The school does achieve phenomenal results - it is the 12th best school in the country but also develops the child holistically. The students are regularly taking part in charitable endeavours supporting causes locally and globally - I was left in awe when I learnt that they raised roughly £20K for charity in a year. In addition, students are given lots of opportunities to learn outside of the classroom too, through trips and workshops. They have something called Leadership days where students get to experience the world of work, STEM is strongly promoted and I think this is inspiring for girls as it allows them to dream big and know that they can be whatever they want to be. All of the hard work they do is evident in the results they get; 30% of their Y11 leavers end up in top performing 6th forms and their first leavers are now being offered places at Oxbridge universities and onto medicine courses. The school has a faith designation and this is delivered implicitly similar to a Catholic or CofE school. Students are given the opportunity to pray and reflect on their faith and spirituality and also celebrate diversity, tolerance and respect - just at the end of last term they had the new Archbishop of York - Stephen Cotrell visit for a school assembly. The community is very proud of the school, no other school in London can offer what Eden Girls, Waltham Forest has to offer. I am hoping and praying an Eden Boys opens for my sons - as I feel that they are at a disadvantage with such a formidable girls school in our midst.
A truly inspiring school environment to be in. Eden Girls is led from the front with a determined and highly motivated team of teachers that are nothing short of but brilliant! Speaking as a parent, my personal experiences have been positive and we feel proud that we are part of an almost family team that want to see our daughters exceed above and beyond the rest. Well done Eden, the OUTSTANDING ofsted report only justifies your merits! Just keep up the invaluable work you all do!
My niece goes to Eden school and what an amazing school it is, she loves going to school I just had a word with her and she only had fantastic story's to tell she said the staff are amazing, they make each subject so educational and fun to learn. Everyone works together as a team it was such a lovely thing to hear from a year 7 girl. so well done to Eden school what ever your doing it's amazing ...
My daughter attends this school and Im so glad she does. The staff are just simply on another level of determination to get our children the best grades they can achieve. An OUTSTANDING school in all aspects reported by Ofsted and only OUTSTANDING School in Waltham Forest. Eden Girls will create some great forward thinking powerful woman for the future 100%. Good luck to all the staff and attendees at the school.
Eden Girls' School has been an Amazing secondary school setting for my daughter Iqra and niece Shifa They both achieved OUTSTANDING G.C.S.E results for 2019! Ma sha Allah- Both Achieved, A** to A in all subjects! Both girls worked extremely hard and were highly dedicated to their learning throughout their school life! A BIG 'Thank you' to all thier subject teachers & SLT @ Eden Girls' Waltham Forest....for their hard work, dedication and commitment throughout their learning. They both secured a place at an Outstanding sixth form to study mathematics and Science.
It seems as if this school is not one that belongs in the UK, more like a South East Asian school without any discipline - diversity is not encouraged. Very unprofessional - some teachers and head of years always hold grudges against students. They waste time focusing on the smallest behavioural issues that can be dealt with very easily rather than focusing on the actual education- the most important part for the student. I would NOT recommend this school to anyone.
A horrendous school with a lack of compassion and kindness to the students. The upper-sets are treated like first-class citizens while the lower sets are forced to put up with bad teaching and extremely unfriendly staff. The staff are generally rude, intolerant and make the atmosphere uncomfortable to be in. A dreadful experience for young kids.
