Only popped in to use loo. Excellent facility. There was an exhibition from The National Bonsai Society. So fascinating and lovely people. Apparently this is a park and ride car park. I really enjoyed walking along the front and you could see Blackpool Tower. As you can see it was a lovely day and very busy in Southport.
Place is closed to the public, pre-booked meetings only. Good to see the 'environmental catastrophe' waffle finally reducing!
An amazing school trip on 4 July 2023. The pupils were engaged from the moment they arrived and enjoyed all the different activities especially the interactive room and the solar panel building game. Julie, the Eco Centre teacher was amazing with the pupils and explained everything in detail. The pupils enjoyed the interactive quizzes and were very competitive. A fantastic day for all. Thank you.
Used the park and ride facility. Absolutely brilliant. The toilets were immaculate and free. Would use this service again and would recommend anyone to park there and take bus into centre.
It's a place where you can go to park your car with family or friends and pay £2:00 for all day car parking till 7pm at night, you can then get the park and ride bus for free with your parking ticket into Southport Lord Street and go to any of the shops, cafes, bars, restaurants and into the main shopping part of Southport where Primark and other shops are to look at along with a Costa coffee shop for a drink and bite to eat. Then you can get the park and ride bus back to the eco centre to collect your car before 7pm and go home after a lovely day out.
A good place to park and then get the bus into Southport every 10 mins and only £2 for the day, shuttle bus included! Eco centre is interesting but getting a little run down, some of the attractions not working properly.
It’s a Park and Ride bus stop! However, the building uses green technology to good purpose, and there are very interesting displays around all the walls to explain all of the processes. Needs a coffee shop! We used the class room for a course, which was an excellent venue for us, but we could not access the main data projector - fortunate that we had brought our own. Very helpful and friendly staff.
We visited the Eco Centre on a school trip. The staff were absolutely fantastic and the day was organised so well. Our day was based on The Stone Age and the children had so much fun participating in a carousel of different indoor and outdoor activities. We will definitely be returning next year. Thank you to Darren and Julie. Also to Plan My Trip who we found the Eco Centre through.
Very cheap to park and show tour parking ticket on shuttle bus for a free ride into town although it is walkable
Great place to park and ride £2.00 all day. Great educational centre for kids.
