My third or fourth trip, and the best one so far. The skipper is always so knowledgeable and friendly. They are careful to respect the dolphins distance and not to stay too long around them. The bird colony was also fascinating.nYou feel safe on the boat and the two hours fly past.
I am really impressed with these guys! We called yesterday Monday around 14:00, receptionist was lovely I think her name was Lorna - I’ve got a terrible memory so please excuse me if this is wrong! explained the trip, cost and what to wear etc, she was witty could tell we were young and jokey so joined in which I really like, good customer relationships! Then arrived today we actually arrived slightly late, but it was all okay, got kitted up and then headed off with Sarah who took us around the local harbours taught us about the gun shelters, birds, local wildlife! We seen lots of birds and then out of nowhere a basking shark breeches twice! We also spotted a seal. As always with these things it’s wildlife so you can never guarantee what you’ll see but we were so impressed! We never really review stuff but we just had to the team we’re great! 5 stars all around! Oh and they even topped it off with hot chocolates and biscuits during the boat tour! Such a personal small touch that went such a long way! You can tell the woman run the show! go ladies honestly we can’t sell this trip enough!
One of the best experiences in my long lifetime.nOur friends treated my wife and I to the two hour trip and all four of us had the best time.nLots of Dolphin sightings, near and far, virtually from within the first ten / fifteen minutes of the trip starting. Although the Dolphin spotting was the main reason for the trip, you are taken to see the bird colony and also given a brief tour of the industrial part of the Firth too - it was very interesting and the pilots really know their stuff, so quite informative / interesting.nLots of good photos and video taken.nThe hot chocolate and biscuit served up on the boat was a nice touch too.nFrom a practical perspective - Safety briefing conducted and all wet weather gear provided as you may experience spray depending on weather conditions or rain. Life jackets worn at all times.nWe would not hesitate to recommend this experience - we will be doing it again in the future. Bucket list ticked !
Four stars only because we didn't see any dolphins! Plenty of other wildlife, WW2 gun placements and local knowledge. Grandma loved it!
Had a great time on this trip and not only got to see dolphins, birds and other wildlife but a unique view at the beautiful cliffs and bays. To be honest even if we hadn't seen dolphins we still wouldn't have had good value for money. My only suggestion is maybe an amplifications system for the guide, but most of the time we could hear okay even at the back of the boat
