We had not been out for Valentine's the last 3 years so we decided it would be good to get dressed up and go somewhere nice. There was one obvious choice and luckily we got a table at the time we wanted. The night was fantastic from arrival to leaving. The food,service and surroundings made for a perfect evening all round. The stand out from the starters for both of us was the roast tomato and vodka soup and from the selections of dessert for me the cheesecake was the winner and my Fiancé felt the brownie was her favourite. That said we can't say a bad word about any of the food and we will definitely be back there to eat again very soon.
Went for our first Thursday supper club. Food was excellent. Really like the idea of having a local supplier there to talk about their products. We were lucky that it was a local beef farmer that was there, the beef was fantastic. Definitely recommend and would attend again
Great atmosphere, amazing service and I loved the starters and the desserts. The veggie main was good but it did not surprise me. The cocktails are amazing too! Decently would go back.
I have been a few times you are not only receiving delicious and beautiful food but the atmosphere and service is exceptional. From the minute you walk through door you are met with a superb dining experience. I have been with my partner and with friends, on both occasions Eat On The Green has delivered the most perfect food. Valentine's day today we received a lovely wee gift, it's the little things.
We had the dine in at home last weekend. Couldn’t fault it. The food was delicious, easy to prepare as the instructions are so detailed and there was plenty of it. We actually had some left for the next day. My favourite was the desserts. Both delicious! Husband particularly loved the beef dish. Highly recommend.
We had a wonderful time at a friend’s birthday dinner. The food was incredible and importantly, so was the service. The team are very attentive and really cared about our experience. Despite it being Christmas, crackers were removed from our table ahead of our friend arriving - that little touch made her feel extra special and was so appreciated because it was a birthday night rather than Christmas. Even the toilets in the restaurant are immaculate and well stocked with amenities like aftershaves and mints - there’s nothing about Eat On The Green to criticise - we’ll be back! Try the Kilted Chef Gin - we came home with a bottle of fireside - it’s beautiful & cosy and locally made in small batches.
A bit of an institution in the area, which I had avoided being a vegan and their website not talking of veggie/vegan options. Yet when we did book the chef produced a wonderful, absolutely delicious course list, one of the best vegan meals I've ever had. The style matched my friends meals, as in the same size and feel of each course so I didn't feel too weird. The servers and the kilted chef all popped out to check it was okay and I didn't feel awkward. The food was delicious, but the dessert platter of mango sorbet, lemon tart and chocolate was just something else. I've been dreaming of that lemon tart, I've woken up with the taste of it on my lips in the morning, it was probably one of the tastiest thing's I've ever had. A really nice interior, lovely clean bathrooms, great staff and overall fab experience. Resonably priced for such a restaurant. I expected to sell at least one kidney since I was paying for everyone, but I managed to get away with all of my organs and I'm thinking of booking again! And will definitely have to check out the gin garden out back.

We were given a voucher for the 7 course tasting menu with matched wines as a thank you gift. We were welcomed with champagne and canapés to start with. This was followed by an exquisite seven course meal with wines to match. Our waiter Craig talked us through each course and the wine selection explaining why the wines went with the food. It was a wonderful evening in a beautiful setting. It was a really unique experience and we loved every minute of it.
