What a fantastic Resturant the food speaks for itself. We walked in and we’re met by a kind, food enthusiast, friendly larger than life character who happened to be the chef and owner Ravi and his lovely Raji Both greeted us with open arms I said how I love to taste new foods and delicacies from around the world. Ravi asked what’s dishes do I like I mentions a nice fish curry would be good. This was the BEST Malaysian food I have every tasted. It’s mouth watering. A special pace that we are lucky to have locally.
Happened to walk past this restaurant and thought we’d give it a try. Wasn’t sure what to order at first but the owners was really helpful with the recommendations. Ordered the prawn Sambal with the roti, which we would highly recommend and go back for! We was too full to order dessert, but the owner gave us a sweet hoppers on the house to try. And we were so glad we tried it before we finished our meal. Definitely will come back and highly recommend!
The best Malaysian food we have ever tasted. We were greeted by Raji with open arms even though they were about to close the afternoon session. The customer service was amazing, very friendly and recommended some food for the children. The food was absolutely delicious. Chef Ravi came out after preparing our food checked if everything was upto standard, very friendly guy. Had a good conversation with us. Even though we stayed abit longer than the stated closing time, they never rushed us to leave. Very clean place. The hoppers were so delicious, the best I have tasted specially the jaggery hoppers. Will definitely come back again with the whole family. Highly recommended. THANK YOU EASTERN FIRE for an amazing experience.
Home style authentic flavours! A decent authentic south indian, sri lankan and Malaysian coastal cuisine restaurant. Had a takeaway…all food is quite on the spicy side…..but the chef is very accommodating and can cook mild too……i had ordered the normal version and it was proper hot but very tasty!! mutton rolls very nice. So were the prawns noodle.the egg noodles are very good quality and full of flavour. But loaded with chopped green chillies…..had to pick them aside before attacking the bowl of noodles! Sambal prawns one of the best u can get in London. 100 times better than most joints in chinatown. Nasi lemak is a must try! So tasty…..here they don’t serve it with chicken. But for the price what u pay, is definitely very good. The roti canai is ok. Still good than a lot of restaurants who serve the frozen ready made ones.the appams were ok. Have tried better ones. Kottu paratha was sent by mistake…. I had ordered mutton curry and instead was given mutton kuttu……i guess it got lost in conversation…but was okish…..the mutton not so fresh. But overall very tasty food. If you like spicy and coastal dishes, Eastern Fire is a must try!
Fantastic , a little slice of Malaysia on a plate , we did go a little over the top with what we ordered but it was well worth it the ikan bilis fried rice , mutton murtabak , butter chicken and crab curry , it was all amazing , tasty aromatic and full of flavour , nice fresh crab “diamond crab” which had more than enough meat on it for the dish. I and Su thought the fried rice was one of the best we have tried in the UK The owners Ravi and Raji a great husband and wife team , it’s almost like going home and chatting with family as they are so welcoming. This is the second visit as first time my wife took me for brunch of egg paratha roti canai with mutton curry and kopi tarik and squid sambal and kway teow which I wholeheartedly recommend to everyone as an excellent gateway dish into Malaysian food. There is ample parking in rayners lane train station which is a simple 3 minute walk away I mention this as people worry about parking which isn’t an issue.
The most genuine, authentic food and company you could ask for - the best flavours especially the Nasi goreng, fried fish and the appams. Ravi and his wife were fantastic hosts and made us feel welcome, like we were dining right in the heart of Malaysia. A spot we will definitely return to in the future!
If you like it spicy and full of flavor then this is one of the best restaurants I could recommend in west London. Spicy fried mutton with fresh crispy parratha. Fried mackerels topped with green chilli salsa are just a few of my favorites! Vegetarian options: Almost every dish can be done in a veggie version and just as tasty Parking: Street pay and park
Small but very welcoming and accomodating Malaysian and Srilankan restaurant. Food and service were extremely good. The Malaysian chef adds some love with every dish he makes and has a personal touch with his customers. Loved the aesthetics and detailing in the restaurant and had an overall happy experience. Would definitely recommend one of the Malaysian special dishes. My second visit to this place wasn't as great and here is why, I have attached my receipt and they charge and extra £1.50 as open food charge? The only thing me and my other two friends got extra that's not on the bill was 3 tap waters. So can you please explain this extra charge Eastern fire? Also, the service was very rushed and not very friendly, a big downfall from my first experience, yet we still paid the service charge. Thank you for your response, but we did not order an extra egg as you said it came with an egg already. What you see on the receipt is all we got. Also, we did not have the chance to clarify the receipt, as the experience and service was so rushed. And as for a bargain, that is something for us to say, thank you very much.
Came here based on a rec by Malay friends. Did not disappoint. Would highly recommend the spinach lentil dish and prawn sambal. Roti was great. The milk hoppers and jaggery was a great dish to end the meal. The dishes are fairly small so would recommend to get several dishes We got 4 mains for 3 ppl. The service is amazing and the owners are incredibly friendly. Will return :
After our first visit here the other day. We went in as it opened at 12 o’clock my wife had special fried rice and I had Dahl with spinach and roti bread we both had Malaysian tea. The food was really cooked nicely and was fresh the total cost of the bill was £23. The restaurant was very very clean. This family run business is very popular in the local area so it is advised that you book if you wish to attend.
