Beautiful stadium, nick named the holy ground. It is unfortunate today they were decimated today. Aberdeen 4: 0 Hibernian. The arena was electrifying and home team supporters were disappointed with the results. The steak pie and beef burgers were good, but quite expensive compared to the one I bought three weeks ago at Hampden Park Glasgow. Edinburgh the home city of Hibernian is beautiful.
Decent stadium to be fair as I'm not a Hibs fan. Entry very easy and straightforward. Seats were good; both affordable and spacious for a football ground; much better on both fronts than some EPL grounds I've been to. Food okay and for a football stadium not outrageously priced. Seems a bit odd to have the ultras seated on the end of one of the stands. Overall quite quiet; dreadful home performance probably didn't help on that front.
Hospitality at Easter Rd, couldn't fault it, staff were excellent, food was really good, halftime pie was very tasty too, being a Glasgow Rangers fan, decor wasn't to my taste, lol, over all was a nice experience, and icing on the cake, we won.. So all good. Watp.
The staff at the stadium are amazing and went above and beyond to make sure we got in even though we could only get there by halftime for their last home game of the season. A huge thanks to Mark on the security team for helping out. The crowd at the stadium are very passionate and incredibly welcoming to foreigners routing for the hibs. They definitely made a fan out of me!!! Go Hibes!
After having gone to US soccer fields, I was a bit disappointed by this one. I can’t believe they still do will call tickets for games. In the states you buy them online and scan in right at the gates, easy. Here they have you wait for ages and then you have to give them your home address, no idea why. Because of this we were about 20 min late into the game. I understand why there’s no alcohol in the stadiums but definitely is a massive bummer. The stadium itself is pretty nice and spacious, didn’t feel cramped. I couldn’t believe the away supporters were more loud and exciting than the home supporters. And such a small supporter section too! Overall it was a pretty ok experience.
Nice stadium, good folks, good Atmosphäre, east stand recommendable for best view and atmosphere, though they have now a singing area in the famous five stand.
I took my daughter for the 6-0 game against Aberdeen. It was her first ever game, I hadn't been in 7 odd years. We've met the players before in The Sick Kids when they were doing charity work. To see them again in action was amazing. We had a brilliant time!
Winning 6-1 losing 2-3 we've seen it all this week on a magnificent pitch that looks better than some greens I've putted on. One of the best attacking ploys is to prey upon defenders who want to keep the ball alive instead of booting it out the park and resetting the defence. I watched a masterclass on the attacking side taking advantage of this idiocy. Sadly it wasn't always for my team. I'm 60 now so watching Hibs for this length of time has taught me how some players or coaches learn and others clearly don't. They punt it towards the line for the full back to press up and go into the space commonly just outside the box, shoot, cross or get fouled by the guy who should've just put it out. I saw a fullback juggle a ball badly that was going out only to mis-control it and have it nicked then foul the boy for a penalty. When we did compete we were good but it only lasted 15 minutes. Ah, football!
Great to see the Hibees back in Europe under the lights and with a 3-1 win against an impressive FC Luzern. We’ll done lads.
I went to see the BetFred Cup match against Alloa - at time it was not the best match in the world, but the atmosphere in the stadium was great, and I got to chat with the people around me, suggesting that this is a wonderful place for any fan of football, regardless of the team they support. The view was brilliant, and the addition of sea gulls towards the end of the match was an interesting invention - though not one planned by the club, I imagine!
