I love it. It’s a bit calmer than Brighton pier but for that reason it feels a bit more freeing and also makes it seem like there’s more space. There was this fancy restaurant with the way up to the top chained up for some reason, i’m not sure but the view was lovely during summertime and I would definitely go back, it’s so calming and perfect.
Eastbourne Pier is a charming and quintessentially British seaside attraction that delivers a delightful experience.nnThe pier itself is well-maintained and offers stunning views of the English Channel, especially during sunset. Its traditional architecture and classic amusements create a nostalgic atmosphere that’s perfect for a leisurely stroll.nnThe variety of food stalls and shops provide a nice selection of refreshments and souvenirs.nnWhether you're enjoying a peaceful walk along the pier or taking in the sea views from one of the seating areas, Eastbourne Pier is a lovely spot that captures the essence of a classic British seaside visit.
Eastbourne is a typical 'English seaside town', buildings screaming Victorian grandeur of days gone by, now often dilapidated. But still mostly charming. Lots of hotels.nThe promenade itself is well-maintained with pretty string lights at night, well-tended flower beds and of course the old pier is its jewel.nIts been relatively recently revamped and has solid a charm of its own.nYou can find all you'd expect here - doughnuts, fish and chips, afternoon tea and arcades.
We have been to Eastbourne 5 times this year.nIt's an hour away,nSo we check out the weather a few days before.nIf it's going to be lovely we're straight on Booking.com & we're off.nAfter check in we're straight down to the pier.nWe get Fish & Chips from the chippy at the entrance.nThen we walk all the way down the pier to the bar at the end.nThey have a live guitarist outside if the when the weather allowes.nYou can get a decent pint inside.nThe food to be fair Does look lovely, though we've always just eaten.nThere are the usual Penny Arcades, Trinket shops & a Greek Gyros place too.nEverywhere on the pier seems to be having a coat of paint or a spruce up.nThey reslly are making an effort, not just on the pier But the town itself.nThe photos of the bands are cool tables from the bar.
Eastbourne Pier is in East Sussex County, United Kingdom. I was utterly impressed during my visit there. You can visit this very well-maintained, free-to-access beach in solitude, with friends, or with family. Regardless of whom you visit the beach with, you will definitely enjoy your time here. The scenery is awesome, and the relatively calm sea is soothing and therapeutic. I never wanted to leave. Some of the features and highlights:The coastline is very neat.Amusement Arcade Center with modern and classic games that are family-friendly.Nice live music.I saw some fishermen who spent hours before catching a fish.Numerous restaurants, variety shops, and coffee shops. I enjoyed the ice cream that I bought as well as the cake. By the way, you can't bring your meals as you need to patronize the vendors on site.More than enough seats along the pier. You can also go on paid sightseeing of Eastbourne on the available coach.Beware of the pebbled shore so that you won't twist your ankle. Crossing the very busy road may be tricky for the elderly or kids. I advise you to bring your picnic mat to cushion the harshness of the stones on your bottom. The stones are smooth but not comfortable.
