We have enjoyed a very relaxed couple of days here by the sea.
Lovely south coast terminus station. Much quieter than Brighton and smaller, a few anti-socials here and there but well staffed and plenty of facilities. Two trains per hour to London Victoria via Lewes, two trains per hour to Brighton via Lewes. In the other direction is Bexhill, Hastings and the 1066 coast
I walked though part of Eastbourne to walk 13.2 miles along the South Downs coastal path to Seaford. Good for walking, running and off road cycling. Though some parts are no bikes. I understand Eastbourne is good for shopping. Quite a pleasant town
Always really clean, sometimes the ticket machines don't work but there's enough for there not to be a problem.nnCould do with a passenger lounge on the platform.nnA cheaper selection of shops would be nice
The most helpful people on earth at Eastbourne Station ticket office, have just saved me a fortune yet again. Thank you. No need to get tickets online when you have lovely guys in there helping you save money, can’t get that on a machine! THANK YOU xx
