Beautiful gardens, very relaxing stroll with lots of interesting plants to see. Lovely plants for sale in the nursery.
Beautiful, friendly, hidden gem. Well worth a visit to both garden and café...oh and the mini art gallery clean toilets.
A stunning Grade I listed garden. Well worth a visit. Cleverly designed for year round interest.
It is always a pleasure to visit this quintessentially English cottage garden and nursery with a charming gallery showcasing local artists current exhibition is "Petal Poise" by the highly accomplished Helen Simpson, who is based in Dorset - there are some stunning pastels, oils and ceramics and East Lambrook is an ideal venue for Helen's first solo exhibition. At present there are a superb range of geraniums in the garden. Excellent contrasting foliage and textures and a froth of everlasting peas. There is a clearly marked path around the garden. It IS NOT suitable for buggies or those with limited mobility as there are numerous steps and the ground is uneven. Great plant shop.
The Ultimate cottage garden. A wonderful place to wander round and wonder at the planting. We received a warm welcome and after going round the gardens and spotting plants we were unsure of all our questions were answered by the experts on hand. We left with a collection of new plants for our garden. The perfect place for any gardener.
UPDATE: The garden did NOT have an advised route, as the route was blocked by metal bars. It was a one way only system. As for age, that is not an excuse for not cleaning the paths, amd making it so they aren't slippy. Also, an old place can still have it's paths leveled for safety, or at least put up clear warnings. Your excuses have removed 1 star from your review. And staff on the day were NOT interested in concerns _ _ _ _ Requires work to allow disabled and elderly to visit garden. One way system means many steps and uneven ground. Cafe very limited at the moment. Hoping it will improve as things return to normal after Covid.
Gorgeous snowdrops. Small garden that doesn't take long to walk around but the numbers of different species of snowdrops is amazing.
A lovely afternoon. Only previously been at snowdrop time, but it is an inspiring cottage garden in summer too. This little fledgling came to welcome us.
Really enjoyed some quality time at these gardens with Mum who loves Snowdrops and we picked a few plants and rare snowdrops along the way. Great knowledge and expertise with the gardening staff too. Cafe and manor after gardens was a lovely treat too. Worth a good visit in this particular time of year
A truly stunning garden created by gardening legend Margery Fish. You can see she could barely contain her love for plants - they're crammed everywhere. Visiting on a VERY rainy September day, I was struck by how many of the plants looked amazing in the rain - airy grasses, feathery clematis seed heads, glossy leaves of the famous hellebores. The garden is laid out with winding paths - each turn revealing something beautiful and fascinating. Really a lovely day out. The surrounding countryside is amazing too. On a practical note there is a fantastic and extensive plants sales area, a café, and toilets - and a pub across the road - what more could you want? I'm afraid my photos don't really do it justice.
