It didnt change hands. Malcolm the owner passed away and his girlfriend continued taking all income not putting it back into the business by even paying any bills hence no electric. It is Julie Bedlow that ran the business down, clearly no respect for all the hard work Malcolm put in, hence why she got evicted from the site so instead of making a fake bad review Nigel Mason, you never stayed on the site and you would clearly know all this being one of Julie Bedlow's friends!... This will hopefully be back to its former glory and be one of the better sites to stay at now Julie has been removed... Looking forward to a stay in 2023
Used to be a lovely place until it changed hands wouldn't go back there toilets are too shabby And the showers don't work there is no electricity no hot water And is not disabled friendly
Stayed for one night to visit the Aviation Heritage Centre next door. Lovely warm welcome from Julie, nothing too much trouble and a beautifully set site. Really pleased to have found it! Also recommend the Red Lion pub up the road, nice food nice people..
We stayed 4 nights at this lovely friendly and peaceful campsite which really is hidden away! The campsite is really clean and tidy, the toilets are clean and the showers are hot. There is plenty of space between caravans and there was more than enough room for our 2 boys to play outside with the bikes and toys! The owners are extremely welcoming and helpful, we enjoyed our stay so much we have already booked to come back! I would recommend this site without hesitation.
This campsite is quirky and v friendly, helpful . Facilities were simple and clean. Close to the Aviation Centre which is a place to visit. The Red Lion pub is just a short stroll away.
Nice cheap and cheerful campsite, has its own shortcut to the pub and next to the airplane.
Facilities need a revamp but site well located especially for the aviation museum. The owner was very welcoming & helpful. Dog friendly too.
Lovely friendly campsite, owners couldn't be nicer or more helpful, toilets clean, showers hot, it's quite quiet but everyone is nice and all are made to feel welcome
We camped here for the weekend with our scout group. Brilliant site and the hosts are very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend. We will be back.
Stayed at this place because it's next to the Just Jane Lancaster bomber. Had a great stay. Julie and Malcolm were great hosts. I would definitely go back.
