My husband & I got married here in June 2024. We couldn’t fault East Horton at all. From the planning leading up to the big day, to the day itself, everything was perfect. We’d recommend this beautiful venue to any newly engaged couples. A special thank you to Taura, who made the planning process stress free and made our day go so smoothly!
I photographed a wedding at East Horton Golf Club in April and it was absolutely stunning! The day went so smoothly and as a supplier I was made to feel so welcomed and nothing was too much for the team! Shelby was absolutely amazing, full of information and was the most amazing helping hand on the day! One of the staff was even kind enough to take the couple and myself around the course in a golf buggy so that we could get the most amazing photos! The team at East Horton even brought out two courses of food to a separate area so that I could have a break and the food was INCREDIBLE!!! Such an amazing experience and I truly cannot wait to come back!
Really enjoyed playing both courses here. Parkland and Greenwood. I think I preferred Greenwood as it was slightly easier for me. And more flat. The courses here are beautiful and we’ll maintained. Nice little bar for refreshments and/or Lunch. Food was lovely. Worth a visit
East Horton is an absolutely stunning venue even without the additional wedding decorations, and was the perfect location for our wedding in October. The team was friendly, professional and organised and we felt our wedding was in good hands from the initial meeting to our actual wedding day. They were able to accommodate our half day wedding including additional Chinese wedding traditions such as our tea ceremony. We dropped off our decorations the day before, with fairly vague instructions / pictures and ideas of what we wanted the venue to look like. The team simply excelled themselves and we had an amazing day. We were able to utilise the beautiful grounds for our wedding photos too including a trip in the golf buggy to even more scenic locations. We’d like to thank Rebecca and her team at East Horton for the most perfect day!
This course has unfortunately gone downhill. Etiquette is non existent and management are nowhere to be seen. I've been playing this course for over 15 years and they've made some interesting decisions along the way but it no longer justifies the relatively high green fees. If you want to get in a good round on a nice course without kids and their entourage roaming wildly you're best going to one of the many other reputable clubs around there.
28 Jun 22 , 1st time at course played the greenwood course, a few challenging holes and lots of hills, fantastic fairways and greens ‍ Only 2 faults we found were the lack of map/signs/directions to next hole, lucky we had club members behind us to ask, The other is the flag colour dark blue can not be seen from a distance especially in the woody areas. Definitely be back to play parkland course ‍
I Honestly don't know where to start! We got married at East horton on 25th July 2022 and had the most amazing day from start to finish! We had been to look at a few venues before East horton but for us it was the warm welcome we received from the staff as soon as we walked through the door that finalised our decision and we knew straight away this would be the perfect place for us. We booked our wedding way back in 2018 but little did we know a pandemic would bring everything to a standstill and even with this in the way nothing was to much for East horton and they made sure we were well looked after and kept up to date with all the new plans. The wedding day itself was more than we could have ever wish for! The food was lovely and the staff went above and beyond all day for us to make sure everything was in place and ran smoothly. We just want to say a massive thank you to all the staff for making sure our day was perfect and a special thank you to Shelby for keeping us all calm just before the ceremony when things felt a little overwhelming. Great location and lovely place, food was amazing
My husband and I had our wedding day at East Horton in May 2019 and what can I say, it was perfect from start to finish. Vicky the coordinator at East Horton is honestly a breath of fresh air and made the process so easy and lovely for us. She took on board all my quirky ideas and also shared in our excitement which made it feel so unique to us. Not only is the prices some of the best in the area, we really loved the feel of the venue. It almost feels very modest but also cosy and has a charm to it. It is set on the most gorgeous grounds and gold course that when the sun is shining, the lake glistens and its such a beautiful picture i'll remember forever. We hired all 3 spaces for the day and had both our ceremony and reception at the venue. We were also lucky enough that the venue was free the day before so we could go in and decorate it ourselves as I had a clear vision on what I wanted. To summarise the day itself was amazing, the staff are all so lovely and really invested in our day. Vicky is such a lovely person so thank you so much. We had the hot buffet food option and wine, as corkage would have worked out the same cost so made it easier. The only small thing I would note is if you have vegan options make sure someone is bringing that out before you all sit down to eat as they came out a bit later. Literally that is the only thing I would mention that isn't singing there praises. We loved our day so much; getting the drive the golf buggies, setting the venue up how we want, the ceremony room and reception looked beautiful, the staff went above and beyond and everything from start to finish was perfect. Great price, Vicky the coordinator goes so above and beyond and overall we loved our special day at East Horton, thank you so much.
We ate at the course today at "greenside",we had Sunday lunch the menu was small 3 options for each course,I do like it when places do this a small menu done well is the best,the food was very very good and if I rated on that alone I would give them 5 stars,unfortunately the great food was so overshadowed by the horrendous service,the staff all late teens early 20's at best,I dont have an issue that the staff were young but there was no one running the show nobody seemed to know what was going on,we were there nearly 3 hours to have 2 courses,its such a shame the service was so bad as the food and the building were beautiful.
