About

East Devon is a Members Club, founded in 1902.

Story

Our vision is to be the best course in the South West of England. In support of this vision we have developed a five year strategy which is designed to ensure that the club maintains its listing as being one of the Top 100 courses in the country to play golf.
The club has a full competition schedule for Men, Ladies and Juniors which is designed for players of all standards. Members have access to coaching from our PGA professionals and good practice facilities.
For those wishing to try golf for the first time, we have an excellent Golf Academy which is run by our PGA Professionals. There is also a short academy course available to those joining the Golf Academy. For further details click here.
To complement the golf we have a well appointed clubhouse where members can enjoy excellent dining and bar facilities with spectacular views of Lyme Bay

Everybody I met was brilliant. Trevor in the pro shop, everyone in the bar and clubhouse were all superb. The course is wonderful and it's in excellent condition, the greens are amazing and the views are among the best in the south west. You have to visit and play here, I guarantee that you will return.
Great course and greens, lovely bar with good food and drink, every member of staff was polite, helpful and really seemed to enjoy their job.
What a fantastic golf course. And the hospitality shown by the staff in the pro shop and the bar afterwards was first class. Can't wait to go back.
Played here 28/07/2023 2 3 balls - absolutely loved the course, fantastic greens and tee boxes. Martyn and the gentleman in the pro shop went the extra mile and provided us with a great introduction to the course and made us feel very welcome. Would 100% return to this great course.

My fair lords and ladies, I come to speak of Devon Golf Club, Where golfers of all skill levels can enjoy a round or two. The course is sprawling and lush, with greens as smooth as silk, And fairways that stretch out like a canvas of green and brown. The air is fresh and clear, and the sun doth shine so bright, As players swing their clubs with all their might. The challenge here is great, but so is the reward, As you sink your ball into the hole and hear the crowd applaud. So come to Devon Golf Club, and let your worries fade away, As you play this ancient game in a most beautiful way.
The purest greens I've played on this year. the staff were first class and very welcoming thank you for a very enjoyable day
Blimey, what a tricky course this is for a high-handicapper like me, it's lovely though. The heather is hard to get out of but off the course, the food is incredibly good value.
