The food used to be good, but recently it has gone significantly downhill.nIt's sad to see this pub charging £20 for something of wetherspoons quality with a 40 minute wait at a quiet time. It even came with an empty space on the plate where they'd run out of food! No explanation offered, no refund allowed.nnThey had so much potential but disappointed themselves and their customers.nnWe will not be coming again, and advise you to stay clear - there are many better pubs out there.
Just back from a great long weekend walking holiday based here. Literally at the centre of Dartmoor about 50m from the Clapper Bridge at Postbridge. Great base for walks etc. Staff very warm and friendly. Dogs welcome. First rate cooked breakfast both days, first rate lamb roast on Sunday and great fish and chips Saturday. The ensuite room looked brand new. Homely atmosphere. Cant beat it. Didnt want to go home. Our dog also loved it. Well be back again this year.
We visited for a drink and then didn't want to leave. Excellent food. Amazing drinks selection- especially beer. Very friendly staff and a lovely pub inside and in the beer garden. Highly recommended.
The service area of the Inn was very cosy, clean and quiet. The staff where well organised and lovely. The beef burger was fantastic and resonably priced. Massive thank you to Karen the owner of the Inn, who gave me a lift to Princetown after a long 10 mile hike in the rain long story :D
Loved our stay at the Inn. The staff were lovely & welcoming with lots of local information about where to go & what to see. The food was great. The room we stayed in was beautifully appointed and very comfortable. Breakfast next morning was also excellent. Location of the Inn is perfect for walkers, bikers & travellers in general. Highly recommend a stop here.
