E-Kagen Sushi & Noodle Bar

I have been eating here for years and my family really love it. Great if you can get a window seat overlooking Sydney Street. They are only open over weekends now, the owner and chef keeps turning out tasty dishes with his friendly team.

An interesting restaurant, the decor is like working man's cafe, but the food is real Japanese. All the dishes I tried were cooked in the open kitchen, under the watchful eye or the chef. While the staff which I assumed were family Cook and serve the dishes. There noodle soups are to die for. A simple place with good food.

Currently my all time personal favourite Japanese eatery having done the rounds in Brighton and London. Good atmosphere, good food and very inviting customer service.

Much as others have found it. Simple, not too expensive, popular with young people. Note that it is upstairs and not wheelchair accessible. Marked down slightly for having a sticky table, slightly less sticky after being wiped. Tofu much nicer than Chinese restaurants . Recommended
