Having used this practice for nearly 20 years I can honestly say that Outstanding 5* treatment by ALL vets and nurses has been received at all times. I would never choose to go anywhere else. I trust these guys implicitly with my fur babies and will continue to do so. I’ve shared happiness introducing my new pets to you , to fears and tears when they are poorly. You have saved the life of two of my pets and I cannot thank you enough. A 5* practice where all of the staff, receptionists included care deeply for the welfare and health of the animals in their care.

This extremely highly regarded practice has been subjected to a flurry of negative reviews over the past week which relate to an admittedly extremely distressing incident in which one member of the 50 strong staff has been implicated but is totally unrelated to the day to day running of the practice. Whilst I am a firm advocate of freedom of expression, my understanding is that a review should be based on personal experience. I strongly suspect that the greater majority of the recent contributors have no first hand experience of the practice but are acting in response to a 'smear campaign'. This is substantiated by some blatant inaccuracies in many of the recent reviews.As a long time former staff member and an ongoing client of the practice, I fully appreciate the skill, hard work, dedication and particularly the high level of care which the practice delivers. I would whole heartedly recommend this practice. I note that a recently edited review suggests that my rating is ' hypocrisy' in view of the fact that the contributor has 'searched' and discovered that I am a former staff member of this practice. Had he bothered to read my review in which I clearly state my connection to the practice then he could have saved himself the trouble. I have also stated that I am an ongoing client of the practice. In view of this I feel entirely justified in placing a review which is based on my personal experience of the practice.

We always have excellent service. Nothing too much trouble. Well worth the journey. Wouldn't go anywhere else. Xxx

Very nice veterinary practice large airy reception with at least 4 receptionists behind the desk. Friendly and helpful. We took our cat for vaccinations at £30 which I thought reasonable.

I have used Straitens for a lot of years & will continue to do so. They have always been amazing with my dogs & cat. Keep up the good work x
