On 25 November 2022 I tried to order 4 products from E. Arthur Brown online. I was unable to place the order online as their website was not working properly, and it was not giving me a sale discount that was supposed to take place by entering a code. I tried several times, ended up having to call them to place the order. While on the phone before placing the order I asked if they could send me a .pdf invoice for my records and a woman there told me that it would be no problem, she’d take care of it. After several correspondences back and forth by email, and supposedly two attempts by them to send me a .pdf – I still did not receive said invoice. Still never did receive that emailed invoice After placing the order by phone, I later received an email saying that my almost $600.00 order was being help up for a $10.00 part. Eventually I called and emailed, suggesting that they should just send what they had and move forward. They wanted to charge me additional shipping for the $10.00 part later if they split the shipping into two shipments. I told them that I would wait. Fast forward to today, January 3rd, 2023. I received my order, Yay! That only took over 5 weeks. I opened up a single manufacturers box that comes when you purchase the rifle chassis that I purchased and found my whole order including the additional items packed inside the box and sliding and bumping around. There was no foam, bubble wrap, or anything like that inside the box. I initially though, “Well, that’s real smart, something could easily get damaged or even scrape up the chassis”. Imagine my second shock when I looked at the invoice / packing slip thrown inside the box and they had highlighted “CAUTION: Be Careful when fitting. Scratched stocks cannot be returned.” In PURPLE HIGHLIGHTER!. I think that maybe someone there in shipping should read their own warnings. In addition, the two chassis screws that are supposed to come with the chassis were missing from the package – likely from the opening and closing and mishandling of the most expensive of the 4 products that I ordered. Run, don’t walk away from ordering here. I will be contacting the manufacturer of the stock about this, and in order to get the two chassis screws. I have no desire to deal with these people again.
I had them put on a new .308 S.S. Varmint barrel on a Savage with a break.. Also mucked out my Boyd's barrel channel stock.. They free floated it also as I asked for which they did... Now that break knocks down the kick and the S.S. thicker bbl. doesn't heat up as fast.. I did clean the bore "breaking in" the bbl. I can say 100% they were good to me and did an excellent job.. Couldn't be happier.. Even did a video on the rifle.... Well Done.
I’m a Vietnam Vet, US Marine, marksmanship instructor and fired in competition - experienced with Rifles. Ordered Savage 110 Rifle stock. It was the correct stock for my model. I connected the stock to my rifle and the machined aluminum block was molded into the plastic stock about 1/32nd” too far to the rear of the stock. The bolt holes were the correct spacing but when mounted to my rifle it put pressure on the trigger guard, threading to break it. Simple machining / stock assembly problem. Arthur Brown charged me the shipping both ways and refunded only the stock cost, and implied I’m ignorant. Fact is I tried to help them discover a problem but they just offended me and charged me for the shipping to and from my address for my trouble. I’ll not do business with them again. Fact is they will ship this problem to someone else and the trigger guard will break in a short time and cause another Savage 110 owner the same problem.
You all did a fantastic job installing my muzzle break and scope basemount on my T/C Encore Pro Hunter 500 S&W Katahdin barrel. I am extremely please with the craftsmanship and quality of your work and products. Communication and turn-around time was excellent. Any of my future barrel builds for my T/C will definitely be sent to you. Thanks again. Jason
I have ordered a custom Encore barrel with the JP "howitzer" muzzle brake and it was absolutely perfect. Also ordered a TC Encore Pro Hunter with customized barrel and also just exactly what I wanted. EABCO was fantastic to work with.
Over the past few years I have ordered various items from E. Arthur Brown. I have bought parts for Thompson Center Encores and stocks and barrels for Savage Rifles. The most outstanding quality of their Accuracy barrels is top notch. I followed the break-in procedures with the bore paste and polish included with the barrel before even installing it in the rifle. I ended up with an extremely accurate 6mm BR Norma in a Savage Model 10. This is all from a town so tiny population under 400. I appreciate that having come a town in Oregon even smaller. Best wishes for their continued success.
These guys are something else.. Do your best to find another supplier for any of your reloading or barrel needs. Plenty of businesses that will go the extra mile to help you out. Worthless as all I can say
