We stayed at Dwy Olwyn for one night and it was great. The room had everything you would wish for and our host was very friendly and helpful. It's located at the edge of Dolgellau but it's 10 minutes away walking distance from the town centre, which shouldn't be a problem for anybody. Overall, my experience was great and I would certainly come back.

I am not sure what she has done in the time since the last reviews, but the owner, who can be referred to as Super Norma has certainly turned things around. 4 of us stayed for three nights and she was extremely welcoming, cooked us big hearty breakfast every morning, cleaned our clothes and was extremely understanding when a friend of ours had to pull out due to unforeseen circumstances. Go see Norma for yourself, you won't be disappointed.

Price 60£ / 2pers was above internet site offer (26£/pers) and no reduction for low season period. We were 6 persons (180£), no impact on this high price. one bedroom was very small with as a view, a wall ! Over the week, we had the chance to use different B&B with a much better quality for similar paid price

I spent from Saturday till Wednesday in this Bed and Breakfast in June this year and found it a very welcoming place, the breakfast was delicious with plenty to eat. I rang and booked without any problems. It was recommended to me by friends and I was not disappointed, I was made to feel a part of the family and can't wait to go back, north Wales is a beautiful area, the people of Dolgellau made me feel very much at home, I was there to carry out research into my family history and with the archive office just a 5 minute walk away from Dwy Olwyn it couldn't have been more appropriate. I feel the remarks made by Elizabeth do not equate with my experiences of this fabulous Bed and Breakfast.
