Awful gym! The standards are way below what should be expected for the price you pay. The pool is freezing, there is always one jacuzzi out of service, unclean gym, the sauna is filthy and falling apart and the changing rooms need a complete update. The atmosphere is unfriendly and most of the staff are unhelpful and unapproachable! Also, it is completely impossible to cancel your membership and if you do they will ring/text/email you constantly threatening you with debt collection agencies etc! Would not recommend to anyone!
Free day pass. Great facilities and up to date equipment. Decent pool, but not for the experienced swimmer, more of a leisure pool area. Great saunas. Nice staff and you can buy high protein food and shakes in the canteen. Prices are a bit too high, but this gym has everything you could dream of.
The facilities are great when you get to use them all the equipment is high quality however gym always seems to be very busy, I can understand it's a business but I would have thought they could control the amount of memberships sold. Only solid downside is the parking. You only get Max 3 hours so if you want to do a hard session then you get fined £60+ if you kick up a fuss they cancel the fine but it's a hell of alot of hassle.
Gym appears to be well kept but there are underlying maintenance issues. The rowing machines need a good service as the chains are going rusty and aren't pull smooth, this is about the only thing that can kill a c2. The hot tubs are also regularly out of action. Another note, would be nice to have a bigger area for stretching and core/body weight work.
it's a great gym with fantastic classes, it's a shame they don't look after the members quite so well or update thier equipment. The pool is nice but there are times when the centre is dirty.
Very little parking, often have to park at curry's due to the very small shared car park being full. The gym is falling into disrepair; broken and cold showers, out of order gym equipment and out of order sauna. They have over sold membership as this gym is always very busy, I actually had the last available locker once with the person after me complaining and eventually getting a locker when another member left. I have tried to cancel my gym membership but this can't be done at the gym, I'd have to call their cancellation call centre. Really not worth the £42/m I'm paying!
Better than other more exoeexpen gyms. Using the steam room was almost like being on holiday . Gym equipment very well maintained. No TV on running machine . All in all I wish I lived closer to it as if was great. Will have to continue with the tired one in Essex
Absolutely piece of .... It's not a gym, it's a "wellness club" for flip-flip clowns and "at least I visit something regularly" Ladies who are too fat, or skinny I visited it after 8 years fitness experience with about 20 gyms behind me. Staff is arrogant, inexperienced children, typical when the person who tries to convince you to pay half of a month salary could be your child... little girls behind the desk. I asked about can I find hyper extension bench, because that is missing from Lifestyle, she could not even answer me. It is just about to sell one year memberships, then keep the place without maintenance, because that is just loss for the company. Only thing they are interested in is your money, a lot of. There is no monthly payment option, only contract. Are you a real athlete? Did you come to Canterbury and want to train? I mean, really train not just deceive that you train, like most of the guests do? Than visit Lifestyle, opposite side of the town. Are you an average fella, who wants to say "I visit the gym" ? This is your place, mate. So, for people who want to change their body, who actually want to reach something and do not wanna pay that much, especially want some respect for their money: DO NOT VISIT THIS S..T.
This fitness centre has everything that you need, swimming pool, steam room, large free weights, Olympic lifting areas and cardio sections, also hiit training, cross fit area. I’ve always managed to get on every piece of equipment needed. Classes are included in the price of which there is a large choice. Highly recommended.
