I have been coming to Durum for years. Always a nice authentic atmosphere with great service and lovely complimentary tea and sweets to finish the meal. Food is generally good though it may lack some seasoning at times. Overall a great place for lunch or dinner.Food: 4/5
I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with a recent experience at your establishment. We visited your restaurant on Saturday after seeing a promotion that you were offering. However, upon entering the restaurant and attempting to order the deal, we were informed by the waitress that the promotion was only available for takeaway. This restriction was not clearly indicated anywhere in your promotional materials, leading to confusion and frustration. Feeling misled, we decided to leave the restaurant, disappointed by the lack of transparency in your advertising. I believe this could have been avoided with clearer communication about the terms of your deals. I hope that you will take this feedback into account to improve the clarity of your promotions and the overall customer experience. I would appreciate a response to this matter and some assurance that steps will be taken to prevent such situations in the future. Thank you for your attention.

Every dish is crafted with precision and skill, and you can genuinely taste the love and care that goes into the preparation. As a vegetarian, I was thrilled with the variety of options available. Mr. Azo, a staff member who provided outstanding service, took the time to recommend several vegetarian dishes. He even arranged for a special vegetarian falafel wrap with a hint of garlic spice, which was absolutely delicious. Azo’s recommendations didn’t stop there; he suggested some incredible Turkish sweets and tea that were the perfect ending to a wonderful meal. His friendly and humble demeanor made the dining experience even better. He clearly knows the menu well and has a genuine passion for ensuring guests have a great experience. The chef, affectionately referred to as “uncle,” is truly a master of his craft. The dishes he prepares are not only delicious but also beautifully presented. The attention to detail in both the food and service at Durum is commendable. Overall, I absolutely loved my experience at Durum. The food, hospitality, and service were all top-notch. Whether you’re a vegetarian or not, this is a place where you’ll find something to savor. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic and delightful Turkish dining experience.

We stumbled upon this gem as the only place open for food at 10pm. We showed up two days in a row! The service was excellent even when we showed up at closing. The food was amazing. My favorite was the lamb and also the hummus. The hot sauce was something to write home about and everything was Seasoned to perfection. We will be back!
For the last 18yrs this has been our most favourite restaurant. The food is beautiful, the staff are friendly and welcomed us like old friends. This has to be the go to place for authentic, fresh and so well presented Turkish food. Always so happy to recommend for that nice evening meal, take away or for all your special events, everything is well catered for.
