Witnessed two senior security members speak to two lower ranking colleagues in the most confrontational and derogatory way. I watched them speak to a female colleague like she was a naughty child, in the most condescending manner possible. He told her off for talking to a male passenger who had asked a question and said that she wasn’t paid to do that. He nearly squashed me against the wall whilst as he was doing so. He then publicly started barking orders at a younger male colleague with the most nasty tone in his voice. He then decided to talk to a female friend for about 20 minutes. Clearly he is paid to do that but his colleague isn’t! My bus was cancelled so I went for a wonder around Durham only to see the two bullying security guards near Poundland smoking. Clearly they are paid to smoke, bully colleagues, humiliate people, talk to their friends and generally just enforce their entitlement. What an absolute disgusting display of bullying by entitled men. It will probably go unreported but it definitely wasnt unnoticed and it is totally unacceptable. I won’t use that bus station ever again
Welcome to the new bus station same as the old bus station. It's still as cold freezing and the busses still have to reverse out giving greater potential for accidents. Nobody seems to have thought about that.nThe seats are better and there are toilets. Get yourself a Radar key or else you'll have to pay.nThe old bus station defrayed it's costs by renting out shops and offices. I can't see any in the new one. Perhaps the income from the toilets will replace it.nI other words the bus station has reduced income and is the same as the last one. Some sort of vanity project. Because there is no fundamental difference between new and old.nNoticed that a bus had already bent the railings on the corner when exiting. Another indication of very little thought being put into bus circulation
Another bus station clone, definitely a copy of South Shields bus station, only 1 star as the design and building is out of place for Durham, very disappointed in how they've copied such a building‼nnWould give it 4 stars, just the copy of the building has knocked it down to 1, as for location, another star lost, having the bus station here causes problems on North Road, so many times I've seen busses crashing into bollards, absolutely embarrassing for a city to have this flaw!
Toilets very rarely working properly, 3 times in the last 2 weeks the ladies have been closed in the afternoon. The gents close 2 times last 2 weeks.nSecurity guard not helpful,
Why is the two door got Scaffolding round the doors and one door is broken. It cost 10.4 m to build is bus station so why things need fixing
