Visited this place by chance whilst driving through Burnham. We stopped for evening meal and were initially very impressed by the building and atmosphere. The wide selection of great quality drinks is very tempting. The menu is varied with enough choice for everyone, without being to much. Our meals were superbly cooked and presented. The staff are knowledgeable, polite and efficient. We will definitely return the next time we are in the area and are very tempted to stay there too. Thank You to all for a lovely evening.
2nd visit in a week, this time for Sunday Lunch with visiting family. It did not disappoint. The food was fantastic and the portions huge. The staff are great and very attentive especially when they had got my order wrong which was rectified very quickly. Good value for money. This will be a favourite of ours now we only live 5min walk away our family said one of the best roasts they have ever had and they will be coming to seat later in the year.
Was looking for a nice pub that had a decent looking menu and decent ambience especially as it's Feb and out of season. This place did not disappoint, staff were lovely, food was spot on and it was a lovely pub! Sunday roast menu seems to work on the less is more approach, not unlimited options but we had at least 3 different things between 5 of us and it was excellent across the board. Will mark this one for when we are back this way.
Staff are very attentive polite and hardworking . Selection of drinks is very good and serve the correct drinks in the correct glasses which is nice to see. The food however is basic and not something I would be returning for alone. It’s a simple menu not done that well and has much room for improvement . The place itself is pleasant and clean and is the best place in summer to chill out. Drinks on tap I think are fairly priced. All other drinks are silly expensive. Food for what is served is expensive. It’s a 9/10 for the atmosphere 4/10 for food 10/10 for the beer selection 7/10 overall.
My mother and I came for a lovely lunch here as it was almost exactly half way between us. It was superb. The fish was freshly battered and cooked, the sea bass was presented and cooked perfectly. This chef / team certainly are an asset. The puddings were Devine and I highly recommend stopping here if your taking a long journey down the M5 over any service station. We booked a table, were greeted with friendly staff.
We booked roast dinner here as we are staying at home farm holiday camp. The place looked packed everything we drove past so thought we would give it a go. This place is lovely very clean very friendly staff and the roast dinner was superb. The beef was the best we have had out cooked just right lovely crispy potatoes fresh veg and Yorkshire puds. A little wait but they were very busy and it was worth waiting for. Thanks for a lovely meal
We booked the garden room for a family get together with buffet. The staff were welcoming and attentive. The food was excellent with a great choice, not the run of the mill buffet. The room was spacious and comfortable. Highly recommendedService: 5/5
We stayed here for 4 nights in business. On our 2nd night there was a power cut which apparently has tripped the electrics on several occasions due to the wet weather. Our phones are desperately needed to charge for business use during the day and obviously hasn’t charged. Our room was cold in the evening and their was no hot water in the morning. We were supposed to have left at 7am but my husband tracked down a cleaner who let us use another room as our shower wasn’t working. We had an apology “oh sorry about that”, but no offer of a complimentary meal/drink or anything. Third day our little treat jar with 2 offerings of cake completely disappeared. Being in the room at the top of the stairs room 1 isn’t recommended due too the stair door banging when people come in. Unfortunately we won’t be returning. We come on business too the UK every 2 months. This is the type of business we’ve run before and understand that incidents can happen but treat your guests well and they will generally return.
Great staff, lovely layout and furnishings. We always feel so welcome. Best pub in Burnham by far. Been coming in for over 20 years. Highly recommend!Service: 5/5
Excellent place to stay. Great location, wonderful breakfast and friendly staff. Only drawback was the traffic noise at night because our room was facing the road. Looking forward to our next visit.Rooms: 4/5
