One of the nicest parks I have ever been to. The Friends who look after it are amazing. Lots of seating or just laze on the grass. Even the loos have a mural and are so clean. The cafe prices quite reasonable. Lots of ducks, geese, moorhens. Beautiful. Parking is free too, but get there early!
Mandatory visit for walking with friends and family or just for some self time, or for runners. Some lovely old trees I wish I was a botanist to add some detail. It's doable straight from the city center just 15 min walk away. Definitely worth a detour, even in crisp winter conditions it's beautiful.
Lovely park with a wonderful lake in the middle and plenty of benches to sit along the way. The lake offers paddle boats and some row boats There is a large café and clean public toilet too. Free parking is available although limited.
Beautiful scenery. Boat hire reasonable prices too. Rowing boat and pedalo boats 10 pound per half hour or 15 pound for an hour. Plenty of picnic benches scattered around too. Shaded areas thanks to the amazing variety of trees.
Beautiful park in tunbridge wells. Brilliant for dog walking, family days out and so much more. Very popular and well kept. So much to do and about a 5 minute drive from the town centre if that!
Dunorlan Park is very beautiful Victorian park and grounds in Royal Tunbridge Wells, with an ornamental lake with different birds, terraced cafe with hot and cold beverages and drinks, public toilets, summer boat hire, kids playground, lots of benches everywhere to enjoy the scenery and different trails. You also can check out the terrace, the Grecian temple, the avenue and fountain adorned with dolphins, water nymphs and classical figures, the chalybeate spring, the Cascade and water garden there. There are easy access walks available too! The grounds were landscaped by Robert Marnock for Henry Reed, the merchant and philanthropist who owned the estate and the now-demolished house. Dogs are allowed, but must be kept on a lead at all times in the formal area of the park, which includes both car parks, path around the lake, playground, cafe, terrace, cascade garden, avenue. Dogs are allowed to exercise off lead in the meadow areas, Events field and Victoria Cross Grove area. Free parking at the Pembury Road and Hall’s Hole Road. It is also free to visit too! Dunorlan Park is open from dawn to dusk, 365 days a year!
Beautiful park with free parking in two different locations around the park, tarmac and grass paths around the site leading to a big lake at the bottom of the slope, great for dog walkers with waste bins located at regular intervals with free poo bags at each bin location. It's wheelchair accessible but beware steep slopes on both sides of the lake, take two strong pushers or motorised scooter. The cafe has outdoor seating and the menu is on the outside wall, please see attached photos, good prices and hot and cold snacks and beverages, the toilet block is close by. Water refill stations are a good idea too for the dogs and joggers. Well worth a visit.
Beautiful park in Tunbridge Wells, it has a really lovely boating lake where you can hire a pedalo. There is also a café. There is also free parking on site. Lovely place to go for a relaxing walk
Absolutely fantastic park which honestly looks and feels more like a nature reserve. The views are gentle and relaxing and there are a variety of spots including a café, a lake, and obviously grassy areas. The children's play area is unique and great fun as long as you bring good footwear it's a bit muddy. Parking is free but quite limited if you come on a sunny weekend and toilets are well kept. A small lake offers paddle boating for a reasonable price. Generally found it to be peaceful and not overly noisy, even when busy.
A beautiful park with lots of wide open space. Beautiful old trees of a wide variety including some gorgeous old oaks. Lots of wildlife to see with a gorgeous little cafe offering a wide variety of drinks, snacks and ice creams. Toilets available at this site.
