I just had an amazing time at this football ground! The atmosphere was great, and the supporters were very welcoming. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcome and part of the community . The stadium itself is a great old-school stadium, with great views of the pitch and a lively vibe that gets you ready for the match. It was well worth the journey and will go again.
So Yesterday was my First ever visit to Tannadice to watch my beloved Oldham Athletic in a Friendly vs Dundee United with a 2pm kick off.nnIt was a long 5 hour drive from my home in Manchester upto Tannadice, So I arrived and there was plenty of parking nearby but I think I did see some permit holders areas where you might get a parking ticket, Plenty of disabled parking nearby and I was told by the other Dundee FC that you can park on there carpark infront of there club shop for FREE.nnI was early so I headed to Whites Pub/Bar for a pint of Tennants lager there is also bar 83 nearby and Athletic bar/pub all nearby 5 to 10 minutes walk from the stadium .nnI had a walk around the stadium as I always do and I have to say how friendly the Dundee United fans were, Always happy to have a chat and had some great interactions and then I popped into the Dundee United club shop which was amazing they have such a variety of merchandise and something for everyone.nnThe stadium is a cracking stadium, a proper throwback stadium and once inside i was impressed beautiful stadium, Pitch was in great condition ahead of the new season, Security Stewards were spot on, Polite and friendly.nnWe brought 444 fans for the 10 hour round trip for a Friendly on a Rainy day in Dundee, Match finished 0-0 but it was a great match and I wish Dundee United and there fans all the best for the new season.nn5 5 5 5 5nnI post alot of reviews on Google and I always give my honest opinion on everything from food, cleanliness, drink, Service, value for money, setting, ambience etc and I have over 40,000,000+ views on Google alone.nnI have reviewed everything from Locally to me and my Wife in Manchester to travelling around going for food with my Wife locally and internationally to travelling around the country watching my Beloved Oldham Athletic to day trips and holidays with my Wife etc.nnI have reviewed everything from Restaurants to bars to beaches to beach clubs to taxis to airports to flights to beauty treatments to Barbers to hotels to Churches to Basilica to shooting ranges to hair dressers to Football stadiums etc.nnFrom Manchester to SplitCroatia, HvarCroatia, SupetarBrac, Croatia,RomeItaly, VaticanItaly, Bezier Cap d'AgdeSouth of France, MontpellierSouth of France, PodgoricaMontenegro, BudvaMontenegro, TiranaAlbania, SarandeAlbania, KsamilAlbania, KrakowPoland, ZakopanePoland and Santa Maria, SalCape Verde.
The Tangerine massive were in good form - the sun was out, the singing voices were loud and a 3-0 win over their Derby rivals topped the day for my mate Johnny's Birthday celebration
Away fans can create a great atmosphere here as did the Hibs fans on 10th March 2017 when Hibs beat United one nil to go ten points clear at the top of the Championship table.
The home of Dundee Utd since 1909 the ground has improved quite a lot over recent years with the construction of two new stands in the 90's .One of these is the impressive two- tiered George Fox stand running along one side of the pitch, this stand has a large lower tier and smaller top tier it opened in 1992 and is named after a former Chairman of the club.On the other side is the West Stand affectionately know as the Shed by fans is a former terrace with seating now fitted to it .Dundee Utds ground is only 200 yards from their rivals Dundee's Dens park making them the closest two grounds together in Britain
