The cemetery is old and picturesque. Stunning view of the hills, the Tay from a distance. There are pathways for walker's and children to play. A quiet friendly chat and a metting outing place to visit. Here, the cemetery becomes alive by the sheer number of people who use it for various purposes. You can see the graves, but the people who have come there make it an even better place.
A beautiful, respectable, Gothic cemetery that has paths winding throughout it. It is very well maintained, and very quiet considering its size, as well as its city-central location. If you want to go for a contemplative wander, in the shade of some trees or out in the open, this is the perfect place to be able to.
We went for a walk up the hill, enjoying the forest and the dimming light. What was our amazement when we found ourselves in the middle of an old, calm, quiet cemetery. Don't feel like strangers, just ease your pace and walk with the sunset.

Lovely kept grounds, beautiful views of the Tay. Good place for a reflective walk
Can be difficult to find the grave stone you want to visit. More signage or indication of who could help from staff if any? would of saved family looking for nearly an hour. Not so simple to find as parents are elderly and a few years since last funeral at graveside and visit to Balgay cemetery.
A wonderful place to walk through. Even open at night, provided you're not too afraid to venture inside.
