This town hall holds many memories for the people of Tameside & Hyde & Dukinfield. Many memories for me the pictures are of swearing our new king in & paying respects to our Queen ! RIP a memory for life with this amazing building which people came to show their respects .
The lovely gentleman with the funky waistcoat was amazing during our notification of marriage. Makes something that could be very procedural more fun and exciting. Give him a raise!
Beautiful building from the outside. Very clean inside. All staff that I've dealt with over the years have been extremely knowledgeable and friendly. You have to pay for parking but it's only £0.20 for an hour. All waiting areas clearly identified.
Photographed a wedding here recently and the Registrar's are some of the friendliest I've met. The building is amazing too.

Lovely plac. Went to dinner dance there, caterers did a great buffet, with a selection of hot and cold dishes. Lots of choice for people with dietary requests. A good evening was had by all
Really nice pleasant afternoon sequence dancing , lovely social atmosphere each Monday afternoon between 13-00 and 16-00 ,£2 admission free refreshments and raffle, what more could you wish for ?? A slight down side today was the condition of the floor which could have been due to a function over the weekend ??
Attendend Award ceremony food was nice place was clean the staff were very helpful nice historic building.
I visited the place twice. The first time I met the Mayor and the Consort. I had wonderful time and they were very welcoming. The second time was at the Mayor's Ball and we raised a ton of money for charity. Cheers to the Tameside government and cheers to Tameside people.
A lovely building which is perfect for a registry office wedding, there is a grand staircase for photographs. They do birth registration too, all the staff are lovely, its immaculate and wheelchair accessible from the right hand side of the building
