Very overgrown difficult to get near oil pumps no one else there sad state complete lack of maintenance emailed owners it's been to wet it's just excuse to do little farming landscapes cary on wont be going back
Been meaning to visit for a while and finally took the chance whilst nearby. Such a lovely and peaceful place to wander around, and with so much history.
Great place steeped in history. The UK's first inland oil field which supplied oil during the 2nd World War
Lovely walk through the nature reserve to see the nodding donkeys at the abandoned Dukes Wood oilfield.
Lovely place to visit for a quiet walk, limited parking and not signposted.
