Ate here tonight. First let me say the staff here are fantastic and friendly. I also liked that a 50s style diner actually played music from that era which seems obvious but the last few I have been in haven't! The food was average though. For the price paid and the milkshake was warm. If they improved the food and posters on the walls then this could be a fantastic place to eat!
Food is average burger was quite high in water leaving a greasy pool at the bottom of the plate making the fries soggy. Thick shake was ok but could be better. A lot of room for improvement at this diner.
So terrible, not sure where to start. First impressions: decor not very nice, sort of a cheap attempt at an American diner. Tatty tray on table with a big pile of cheap serviettes and sauces which looked years old. Kitchen is in same room as diner complete with noisy gossiping staff. No atmosphere. The drinks: Milkshakes were warm!! The food: very basic hotdogs, the cheap kind, in a dry bun. Mine as a chilli dog had some flavourless grey chilli con carne on top. Served with a poor imitation of McDonalds fries all dumped on a plate. Thimble of mayonnaise was 50p extra. Prices weren't cheap. You could get much better food, and better atmosphere, at McDonald's for half the price. The waitress was lovely though. I almost feel mean writing this review because of that, but I really would recommend against ever going here. Were the only customers, and I can see why.
Friendly efficient staff, great atmosphere. The Diner caters for everyone. We had the vegan burgers which are very tasty and the vegan milkshakes are divine! Highly recommended.
Great attempt and love the theme, staff are friendly and prompt service ...I had the peanut butter and jelly burger and will again was mouth watering ..the fries not to my taste as they are so thin and crispy, I had the Las Vegas hardshake and was amazing! Good value for money but only criticism would be to put pictures in glass frames as they look a bit tacky, the music is great, maybe install a jukebox and get rid of the table football
I'd wandered past it a few times and wondered why it was empty, but now I know. Terrible food. Honestly, this restaurant shouldn't be open. My son had a 'ham'burger that I wouldn't let him finish because it smelt and tasted like Asda's own brand frozen quarter pounders. The chips were cheaper versions of McDonald's fries. My partner couldn't have a full portion of chicken wings cause they didn't have enough and was substituted for onion rings, thar he didn't ask for and/or want. There was barely any actual meat on the 4 chicken wings he did get. Do the owners care about food? I highly doubt it. The place should give up it's spot for someone who does. My one star....the staff were nice and I liked the theme of the place. Shame about the rest. Waste of money.
Amazing American-style diner. Burgers and hotdogs, all cooked fresh and really delicious. Staff were absolute legends staying open late for a big crowd of us. Really friendly atmosphere. I love this place!
Really tasty burgers and hot dogs, delicious milk shakes, and tasty skinny fries. Desserts were delicious too, particularly the pancakes!
Brilliant friendly staff. Nothing was to much trouble. Really good food. Great vegetarian and vegan select, very impressed. A must visit whilst in Margate.
Food was pretty good, but the extra touches were missing. Take the order from the table. Get proper menus. Serve the drink in glasses not in the can!
