Great day out for all the family. £3 per person per train ride, under 2s are free. Accessible parking and toilets and lots of nearby local coffee spots for after. Volunteers are so friendly and great with kids.Visited onWeekendWait timeUp to 10 minReservation recommendedNo
This is a little hidden gem. Just out of Newtownards towards the coast, a well looked after and loved by its volunteers miniature railway. Cheap as chips prices for the ride, a coffee and gift shop and the loveliest ride through woodland, bridges over streams, tunnels and the cutest platform and signal box. Great fun for adults and kids
Good fun for young and old, the only down side is the duration of the ride. That aside, it was well worth the trip, and the staff were very friendly. After each ride the seats and hand rail were all sanitized.
Perfect Christmas activity for a toddler, 15 month old adored the trains. Volunteers were lovely and it felt very festive. Thank you for running an affordable Christmas activity.Visited onWeekendWait timeUp to 10 minReservation recommendedNo
Lovely miniature railway, well loved by it's members and public alike. Beautiful surroundings and trains. A really enjoyable day out for all, young and young at heart! A must visit for anyone.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot sure
First time visit last Sunday - 3yo daughter had a blast.. So did we! This is a fantastic miniature railway. Obviously a lot of work has gone into it and all by volunteers.. Will definitely return sooner rather than later.Wait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Lovely wee experience and when I say wee I mean there's not much to do once your 12-minute train journey is over which is a shame. It has so much potential. You can see they are slowly building this place up and in the future I can see maybe play parks for the kids and a cafe perhaps. The voluntary staff are brilliant and very passionate about their little tracks out in the sticks.
Great little known Gem!!! I loved it and along with my 5 year old daughter loved it! We will most certainly be going again to enjoy. Staff are lovely and make the journey to visit well worth it. Would recommend
Excellent miniature railway. It's run by volunteers and the opening times are a bit sporadic, but all details are published in advance. Staff are helpful and knowledgeable. Facilities are a bit spartan, but the railway itself is great. Kids and grandparents love it!
Called past yesterday, had been on my visit list for a long time. Took the family and was so chuffed to see the place was busy. Volunteers doing a great job. A cheap afternoon, kids loved it. Looking at returning this Christmas.
