Droylsden Academy is an amazing building offering state of the art learning facilities. However to me the best part is that they actively encourage the community to use the building so they too can benefit from the amazing facilities. Staff and students are always welcoming and friendly and will always go the extra mile to help you. I would highly recommend this school to anyone who has need of it's services.
Droylsden Academy is an excellent facility, which provides Pupils with an exceptional learning environment. The Academy is there to help and assist any Pupil who is prepared to put the effort in, and will encourage and dedicate time to ensure Pupils achieve their goals and full potential, this assistance is not only limited to Academy operating times, but Teachers will ensure that they are available "out of hours" to give Pupils more learning opportunities and assistance therefore in my opinion going the "extra mile" for the benefit of the Pupils in their care. The facilities are modern, and the equipment at Pupils disposal is state of the art. My family and myself have also attended some Community events facilitated by the Academy, and these have been excellent. The food entertainment and environment are of a professional standard, with the Staff attending out of hours, along with the pupils who are charged with assisting and contributing. Participating in the entertainment, catering and assisting where necessary visitors creating a welcoming and friendly environment and experience. I would recommend the Academy to any parent and child who wants to maximise their all-round potential.
My 2 children weren't expected to get good grades ...with Brilliant support and teachers that delivered excellent teaching Jordan achieved and is now a firefighter in the RAF Chantal achieved too and is now a qualified staff nurse graduated just . All owed to the dedication of the teachers here .....Thank you from the Hill family
Droylsden Academy as been so helpful and supportive to one of my daughters who as now left and is going back to resit further exams to help her with her nursing career. my younger daughter is still there and is really enjoying it , she is achieving good grades . The facilities are excellent and my dealings with the staff have always been dealt with in a vey professional manner .
Droylsden academy is an ok school but it can be improved in various ways. One way i believe this school could be improved is by making bottled water free as not all students can use the taps/water fountain due to medical conditions . Also this school could make it so children are able to use personal devises to contact home instead of useing the phone at student servaces
My son is in year 9 and I have never had any trouble want so ever. I think it's a fantastic school for him he's learning and progressing is on point . The teachers are more than helpful. Thank you
Congratulations to all staff members involved in the organising of Hairspray and a big well done to all the students in the cast and the musicians. I attended the Tuesday night performance with several members of my family and what a fabulous show it was. You have some real stars in the making there Droylsden Academy and that only comes from the excellent tuition and curriculum you provide. A show like this takes a lot of planning and organising and there are lots of people behind the scenes who also contribute but who unfortunately do not share the stage for an applause. I know that everyone involved worked so hard giving up their free time and weekends for rehearsals. Each and every one of you should be extremely proud of yourselves and I look forward to the next show!
I have organised 2 events at Droylsden Academy - Droylsden Better Together and Pride of Tameside Home Watch Awards. The facilities at this venue are superb and really does lend itself to these types of public events and ceremonies. Staff, organisation and event coordination is also excellent and the in house buffets with homemade products is second to none. In both of the events we held here the public were very impressed. When looking for somewhere in Tameside to hold your event i would seriously consider the Academy as a first port of call, impressive all round - Staff, Food, Organisation, Attention to Detail, Media Wall, Audience Seating, Car Parking, Layout and Facilities.....Thank you once again for your hospitality.
not sure the academy is as good for tameside as thay said it would be. dont agree with the way thay can exclude puples as they like and tameside will not get involved as it is an academy. I have heard alot of people in tameside say it is a bad school and the head teacher has left for another school
The head Mr Wilson is a very good head at droylsden academy is the best school in tameside I love the teacher miss Sherlock miss Hodges and miss Hume but miss Sherlock is number 1 best teacher ever
