I suspected my car was leaking fuel and pulled in to the Drive In Service Centre. The gentlemen at the reception desk were really helpful and one of them offered to have a look at it straight away. After checking it on the ramp, the gentleman confirmed that it was fine which was a relief as I was due to drive to Sheffield that day and Norfolk the next. I had a previous fuel leak recently and have been irrationally anxious about it happening again. It meant a lot that they helped me and the piece of mind they provided was invaluable. Thank you again.
Been using these guys for about ten years and they have been excellent. I've always appreciated that they take the time to explain whats been done and why. Even the 'very tricky' and ancient Corsa of my sons was kept in tip-top order by them. Would highly recommend them.
I went into get my screenwash pump checked. Luke was super helpful, repaired it then and there. Nice and quick. Great service
I have a Dacia Duster Estate that came up with a fault , it was a real problem. The garage was superb especially Tony, he couldn't do enough for us. We where given a courtesy car while the Dacia fault was sorted out. Tony kept in touch all the way through. Tony knew we were going away and made sure that was possible, the New part was put in and because the regular DC expert was away. Tony got on the case straight away and got somebody else in. As he knew our touring holiday was getting closer. He took all the stress away from us, I can't thank him and the garage enough. This was exceptional service with a garage who cares for their customers and gives the personal touch. Who ever reads this, I guarantee this is the place to go. EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE TONY
I don’t go to any other place than DriveIn Shipley - they go above and beyond. I work as a district nurse so they lent me their courtesy car while work was being done on my car. The customer service from Tony and all the guys is outstanding and I highly recommend this garage for all your car needs.
Quite a nice place bless them. My car has proven to be a bit of a tricky one and a headache both for me and them. Currently still under investigation, however I was not charged with further diagnostics which I suppose do take hours of labour, I was also given a vehicle so that I can move around in the meantime. Hopefully it will be sorted soon and I won’t have to spend all my honeymoon money on it! Thank you.
Been coming here for years. Top bunch of lads who have always been accommodating no matter how annoying my car may have been at the time. Usually at short notice, Tony has always managed to get me an appointment amongst their already busy schedule, and 9 times out of 10 would have a courtesy car available whilst they tackled my motor. Folk always want to pay buttons and get suboptimal service, I would rather pay what is right and get a positive end result. Tony, Daz, Luke, and the rest of the team -cheers lads. Eric.
Quite expensive for an independent garage. Charging almost the same price as dealership. I took my car in and got charged a fortune for changing a simple wheel bearing. Almost £400. I would have tried elsewhere but at my age, I didn't quite understand what they were talking about. Perhaps be a little more precise as to what work you will actually do, rather than add ghost prices on the final invoice.
Worst car garage I've been to. Diagnosed wrong, problem still occerd after. Claim they had tested the car twice and runned it for more than 30 minutes however our problem still happened after literally about 40 minutes. They did nothing to my car and charged me nearly £80 for it. We need to talk about a refund because testing a car is not worth £78. We have since had conversation on the phone and it would appear you care more about what is wrote on here then the price you charged refusing to give us even a part refund because of it. You have picked up on a new radiator being put in and are trying to say this is the issue, well I'm sorry but I've had a lot of work done to the car since buying and have successfully run it for 2 years due to other more knowledgeable mechanic's, these repairs where not recent. Still very rude on the phone as well. We explained the issue when we came in therefore you already knew what to diagnose, performing unnecessary tests doesn't justify the cost. I'm not someone who knows nothing about cars and know how to check my head gasket which you also had explained to you on the phone following this review. All you kept stating was this review has cost you business and I'm sorry but that's a good thing, this is suppose to be for public awareness, to stop scammers. You did not phone us to let us know the cost or anything before you carried this out. My partner is mentally disabled and about to start her new job, meaning we didn't have much money at the time but you didn't know that you ripped off people with very little money to begin with and judging by your attitude on the phone, you don't care. Everything I have said is 100% true and if the number one concern is the price. Then that's how you fix it, refusing to refund part of it just makes it all worse. The review was about price and we have given you chance to refund it. We even asked other local mechanics is the area to get an idea on price, the most you should of charged according to them should have been 50 quid. I have had my car MOT'd twice, that is how long I've had the car. I've run the car for 10 hours at a time without fail for the past 2 years. Not a prior problem, that's just you clutching at straws trying to save your business without doing the refund. People should be aware and that's fair. My regular mechanics wouldn't of even charged me to look. I've had it in enough times when I first bought it to know as it needed a few parts as the garage I bought it off didn't seem to know what they where doing either and openly admitted to using water in the coolant intake which is what caused the radiator replacement as it burned holes in it. The problem however was resolved 2 years ago and would not be a contributing factor, as I said I have run it fine for 2 years since
So far its been good service pricing could be a little bit better which is why I gave 4 star.
