Have always found the receptionists kind and helpful. Receive face to face appointments on the same day. This is an excellent practice. I have been seeing a trainee GP who has shown great care and concern. Thankyou to all the health professionals at this practice
Today I had an appointment with doctor Simon Josef in Newbury Green Medical Practice about my asthma and I suppose to bring my inhalers to this appointment. I went to his room with my girl friend and He asked us why we are here and we explained him and showed him my inhalers, the only thing that he did he said if I know how to use them and that was all no check up nothing. then I asked him to prescribe me a medicine to quit smoking as I already spoke with the stop smoking centre and they told me to speak with my doctor to prescribe me a medicine. He was sort of ignoring me but at the end he opened his book and start searching in his medicine book that what is call the medicine for quit smoking!!!!!!!!! we got shocked but anyway he found it and search to prescribe it for me but he said he cant find this medicine to prescribe it for me! the I asked him about my blood test result and I told him that I receive the call that I need to see a doctor for the result of my blood test but He rudely answered that he cant help us anymore as He just tried to find the medicine for me for quit smoking that he wasn't successful! I had my yearly check up some days ago and the nurse told me to do the urine sample also and give it to my doctor. when we wanted to leave, we asked him if he can send my sample to get examine, but He said that it has a long process and he cant do it, I don't want to say it but we felt a bit of racism on his behaviour. and he asked us to go to the reception if they can help us, and it was more shocking when we went to the reception and we told them that we are not happy with the service that we got, they all ignored us. I think this practice needs a huge change in reception and stop hiring non qualified doctor like Simon Joseph to work there or anywhere.
I missed out to key in car registration number in a pad - very new technology, didn't aware of it at all & they have no clear sign for it, just has a wherever common sign but with a small last few words different & penalty for a £100! Could I said I rather prefer a parking meter but not charge a few very sick patients who didnt read whole throught the 500 words there? The profit company called Civil Enforcement, I just wonder how it got the contract? If that 50/50 on the management levels? And why only this health centre has this 'earn a lot from a few' trick and other health centres in Greater Manchester all free parking? And Salford that area are faraway from posh !
I would give 0 stars if I could. Rude and unhelpful reception staff. Always with bad attitude. They are here to help patients but they are totally opposite, I can't say a good word about them at the moment and someone should have a look at the way they work and talk to people. We are all in the same so there's no who's better or more stressed at work or with living situation. So hard to get an appointment even if it's about minors. Not mentioning appointment for an adult... If you call 8:00-8:02 the line still will be closed, I have no idea why. But when you call 8:05 you'll spend 15 minutes on hold and then there will be no more appointments left for a day according to receptionist. You will have to be really firm and eventually surprisingly you will be able to get an appointment. It happened to me few times already. Doctors are usually helpful but it's a battle to get through to them.
Fantastic receptionists, the phone gets answered before 3 rings, and they always get the medication requests through very quickly, very impressed with the service
They have no clue! No communication between doctors and receptionists. If you request a prescription, suddenly it’s lost in the hemisphere. You can be dying at home, they don’t care!!!! It’s your fault for being alive and using Newbury surgery……that’s their attitude! Please don’t start me on the pharmacy that’s attached to the surgery. Incompetence at best. How are they practicing??? 10 days have past! Still waiting for my prescription. Not been updated. Horrific service!!!
It's getting worse trying to see the doctors.you have to phone up at eight o'clock am for an appointment.then they tell you the doctor will phone you. There is no cumunication here and very rude staff. I waited nearly nine days for my medicationto go through to the chemist. this health centre is beyond belief.
Reception staff are always friendly & extremely helpful. No problem getting an appointment with my doctor. Didn’t feel rushed during my appointment, definitely the best doctors surgery in the area.
This GP used to be the best in the area when I joined 5 years ago, but now it’s the worst by a mile! The receptionist are rude and inconsiderate of patient request/ they will diagnose your over the phone and most likely say it’s not an emergency, how else can I be seen please? Walk into a&e and say my gp couldn’t be bothered so I came? absolutely ridiculous this shouldn’t be happening in the UK especially when it’s tax payers money paying for this. Manager/owner of the General practice: You have to act now and review your receptionists and way of service as this is being taken to local MP and NHS.
Been at this surgery since birth. 31 years and the surgery is a shambles. I suffer with long term mental health and on several occasions I have been left without medication. The communication is very poor between “professional’s” and service users. Utterly disgusting
