Very interesting exhibitions. I particularly enjoyed the evolution of Dover from 1450 to today, shown in multiple models.
I visited a lot of museums and I rate this as one of the best. It is not large, but the visitor will get a lot of information from the first settlers to the beginning of the 20th century. I really liked the model situations and of course the SHIP! I recommend!
An interesting museum covering the history of Dover. The most fascinating exhibit is undoubtedly the bronze age sailing ship, which was quite marvellous. There is a short video showing a smaller reconstructed version of the vessel, at sea in dover.
A small museum with three floors. The recovered boat from the bronze age for me is the most impressive exhibit. There are many video clip exhibits, but most of them have no audio.
Great FREE museum! Really interesting and well looked after. Make sure to book your entry via their website if visiting during the Covid situation!
Pleasantly surprised by this museum. Lovely staff and nice displays. Has that nostalgic, old museum feel. The boat display was particularly impressive.
