They have a good selection & friendly staff.nI brought a couple of the frozen minty lamb burgers & sausages which you dont see very often, these where quite expensive but one of my favorite flavors.nI let the burgers defrost in my fridge overnight & cooked them in the airfryer.nThey cooked up nice but when tasted they both where like liquid salt, I got my partner to try & she found them the same. Very dissapointed.
Very good butchers, produce looks great fresh and appealing to the eye. Staff very helpful. There pure beef burger tasted lovely you can tell the difference compared to others.
Edit: the bacon is back to being epic again!!nnAn amazing quality butcher, always get the majority of our meats here, as well as the occasional cook at home pasty! You don't mind paying a bit more quality - but the prices aren't unreasonable by any stretch.nnSadly though - the supplier of the packaged bacon, looks to have taken the supermarket tip of adding water, only a recent change mind you, but now there's a lot of water when cooking and the cuts shrink down by about 30-40%. Not marking a star down for this, as I am guessing it's an external supply issue - but I'll personally be reluctant getting any further packs of bacon, as having genuine lovely cuts of bacon, was a big draw for buying them.
Bought traditional pork and venison sausages after buying some last June and they were delicious as expected ,however this time bought their raw faggots ,I was blown away by the flavour even my son enjoyed them ,and he won't normally eat faggots ..I just browned them all over and baked them ina onion gravy covered in the oven for an hour and 10.min, just perfect .Will be buying more in June when I visit again ..
First visit yesterday and very happy with the customer service and the quality of the meats! Asked for a fattier cut of beef for a stew and they cut it up for me on the spot, absolutely brilliant flavour, will for sure be using again!
