I moved to Dorchester a couple of years ago and really enjoy living here. It's great to be so close to the countryside whilst having all the town centre a short walk away from home. The amazing variety of quality restaurants means you can eat lots of locally grown / reared ingredients and the Brewery Square development has given the town a new vibrancy. Hopefully it won't be long before I can call myself a local!

Dorchester has been totally transformed in the 15 years I have lived locally from a bustling little market town to a vibrant centre which makes the most of it's history and attracts visitors from all over the country. The number of restaurants and cafes - some of them very innovative - has grown and grown as has the shopping offer. We have become accustomed to the phenomenal growth of Brewery Square and Poundbury but these are developments any town would be proud to have. Both big names and niche shops have been attracted to the town and have transformed the Dorchester shopping experience.

Dorchester has become such a brilliant town now! Brewery Square has brought such exciting new retail and food outlets which the town was previously really lacking in, and the high street seems to be experiencing quite a bit of regeneration as a result, which is fab! There's a real buzz about the place, and a good mix of brand names shops and excellent independents. Well done, Dorchester! :o)

We live about 6 miles from Dorchester but love to visit. Great shops, lots of coffee and cake places and a lovely central park all with a very cosmopolitan feel - great for all the family. The restaurants and fountains at Brewery Square have injected the town with a new lease of life.

I visit Dorchester town centre regularly and am never disappointed by the variety of interesting shops and businesses that are in the main high streets. The balance of top national chain outlets interspersed with the independents shops, coffee bars and restaurants offers a fantastic experience for both visitors and the local community.
