İt's a lovely walk from Ayr beach to Doonfoot.nThere is a nice bridge over the river when walking between Ayr and Doonfoot. Lovely pleasant walk. So calming, especially by the river from Doonfoot to Secret Garden Café which serves freshly grounded coffee. You will see the swan's and duck's. Highly recommended in every season.
Beautiful location on overhanging cliff on the beach.
Gr8 for a stroll.or walk the dog or bike !
Great old site to visit if your into local history. Be very very careful do not stand too close to the edge at least 50ft plus drop onto Rock. Plenty of small paths easily manageable to walk along the beach. Lovely area
I find the ruined castle quite scary and on that particular dog walk ‍ I hurry past it as quickly as possible always whistling a happy tune. However the scenery is wonderful enjoy.
