Compared to most premium venues for motor sports Donington has to be one f my favourites. Not many tracks allow you to be this close to the action and also allowing you to feel completely safe. Food and drinks are surprisingly well priced and good portions. All in all had a fantastic 3 days at the track and would recommend anyone to go and visit
Went for Download festival. If the weather isn't great it's always super muddy and disgusting. I'm not coming back again. Poorly run, always delays and despite assurances the delays are for our safety and things are being done to enhance our safety and visit, it's a load of rubbish. The place was a dangerous slippery slop of a place. I've been to the festival many times, when it's dry, not so much of a problem but there's always something with that festival, it seems to be since the disaster of the track being altered for the F1 then not being able to complete the drainage around the place has gotten worse. I'll be going to a different fest or an European one next year. Download is way over price, especially this year when the entrance was pushed back 2 hours, bands all had their times cut and the first band started before fans got into the arena despite assurances blatant lies from security telling the fans that none of the bands would start without fans being there. Many of my friends missed the band we came to see who were first on the main stage on Sunday. Was a lot of money to fork out and a lot of effort to go to to miss the only reason we came to the festival. In regards to buying tickets in advance: yes if you insist on going, but more people need to boycot this place until everything is sorted. Too many people are complaining about things yet still coming back, and promoters won't learn that what happened this year and previous years isn't acceptable. Last time I came up on a day ticket I missed every single band I wanted to see, didn't get into the arena until 5pm, I aimed for doors open, I lasted 2 bands then gave up to go home. Once again, was an absolute mud pit, plus there was problems with the car parks and roads around the festival.
Great place for watching all types of motorsports plenty of great views around the track get close to the action. Staff are friendly and help well managed weather depending then out of there hands they do try there best. plenty of rubbish bins around the track lots of walking included the bathroom Facilitys are clean all round great track.
I came here during Download 2024 and, although the festival was unorganized and uncoordinated due to it’s size, it was the perfect place for such an event! As long as there isn’t a storm or any heavy/prolonged rain in the area it’s a lovely place with so much to see The only downside to the park is that the size and floors aren’t exactly easy to traverse for people in wheelchairs and mobility scooters as the paths are mainly dirt and gravel I would highly recommend it for anyone that may be a fan of festivals and races!
Went here for Round 3 of BSB Superbikes. Superb staff and facilities and we actually got to do the Pit walk and meet some of the riders. Could not really see the screens or hear the intercom. I lost my keys here, they were handed in and posted within 2 days. Impressed that we got out the Car Park so quick but I guess that's why the motorway is so close to it. I advise if going to watch at Hollywood because there are more facilities around that part of the track.
Attended a track day here motorbike and Wow. Great facilities, especially the restaurant. Only Improvement would be to have some toilets at the far end of the garages but it’s not a problem really. Day was run impeccably, the marshals were friendly just. Brilliant day. They have 3 pin uk plugs in the garages this wasn’t clear on the website in case it helps anyone
After a trip to Munich and the BMW museum a few years ago, I had to drive my favorite BMW model here! Such a great track Donington Park The M4 competition is such an amazing with a brilliant engine noise - I got to 119MPH on the straight. Donington Park track is very well organised and staff are very friendly and helpful. Parking was easy and plenty of spaces. Didn’t try the restaurant. The certificate is a nice touch! Rob was an amazing instructor and was very patient - defo worth money and will be back again. Shame there’s not official photos or a dash camera recording your session.
Spectacular viewing points around the track with great racing for the British GT championship at Donnington Park circuit. The rain and thunderstorms added to the event! Great spot, easily accessible for disabled guests. This was at Red gate, accessable viewing. Right next to blue badge parking. However, signs need a little bolstering! Quite difficult booking process.
