Good layout and in excellent condition. Only thing letting it down is the length of the rough, even very close to a green you can lose a ball.....too penalising and a little unforgiving. Friendly and warm welcome in the Pro shop and clubhouse.
Unreal experience, they will do a good deal on a championship course so if you like links golf it's the place too go.

This is a great course but don't venture too far from the fairways because the rough gets thick fast. A true links golf experience and after your your round you can enjoy excellent views from the bar with some friendly service and good food.
A real links experience here with the weather. The conditioning was below par but the routing and course itself was challenging yet fun at the same time. A very low key and unpretentious vibe in the clubhouse was awesome to enjoy as well.
Fantastic course and facilities and a very friendly atmosphere my only concern is the rough for the average golfer way to penalising having said that I'd love to play there again
A good place to play if you like losing balls. The Course Layout was good but they don't have much fescue, just lots of 6" long grass in the rough and I felt like I spent the entire round looking for my ball and hoping I would step on it, as it's about the only way you can find it. It has quite a high ranking in the UK and Ireland, but maybe it's because Darren Clarke said it's his favourite course.
Great course, great Guinness, lovely food and very friendly staff
