Story

Established in 1974 by the Garcia brothers, Jose (Pepe) and Alejandro, Don Pepe is London's oldest family run Spanish Tapas Bar. It has withstood the test of time, and where many have come and gone, Don Pepe has thrived and continues to offer excellent value authentic Spanish cuisine.

Great little place. A blast from the past but very traditional old caverna type feel. A little outdated perhaps but adds to the charm. The food is excellent, just like in Barcelona. Great selection of tapas and well priced. The staff are very attentive and the portions are a good size. You won’t go hungry.Food: 5/5
The food are authentic and nice compared to the price. We ordered 8 dishes including paella and a bottle of wine and it’s only 40 gbp per person, better book in advance. Sometimes it gets a bit busy at night. Mushroom is a must. It’s is super tasty believe it or not.
Simply my fav restaurant in London after living locally for 2 years. Authentic taste with a good tapas selection, must-try paella you will regret for decades if not!!, superb value, and great service with Mediterranean passion + sincerity. The owner Don Pepe himself has been running this restaurant for 50+ years and always treats his customers, whether or not Spanish-speaking, with a big smile and warm hospitality.
As a fellow Spanish, I couldn’t recommend it more. The owner, chef and service were outstanding. And food even better than in Spain! The pulpo a la gallega is a must. We ordered almost all the tapas we were a group of seven and wines. Quality-price is the best restaurant in London.Food: 5/5
This family run restaurant is a hidden gem in Edgware Road . The Spanish grandpa is very friendly and attentive. He spoke with a mixture of Spanish and English . He reminded us not putting phone and even receipt on table because of theft . The food is good . The paella was better than the one I had in Majorca . The tapas were great too . Price is very reasonable. We had two bottles of wine . The price is £26 per person .
Came from Manchester for the pearl jam concert, came across this little gem of a restaurant. The food is unbelievable, we ordered 5 tapas and then ordered a further 2 because it was so good. Value for money, authenticity, service and freindliness I would drive 200 miles again for it.

As a spanish I can say this restaurant offer athentic spanish food. Pepe treated us very well. We ate tapas: Galician-style octopus, mussels with tomato, and Roman-style squid. Then, as a main dish, we ordered paella. The truth is it couldn’t be tastier. This is the best option in London if you want to eat well and at a reasonable price. The same quality you will find in Spain.
Excellent tapas and service. Very authentic food and atmosphere from a family run business with over 50 years service in London. My wife and I shared 4 tapas and bread, more than enough for dinner due to the healthy gambas al ajillo were especially tasty.Food: 5/5
Cracking wee spot off the Edgeware Road. It has remained loyal to its roots and hasn't converted to shisha smoking joints further along. It didn't seem to be open on a Thursday evening but they made us welcome. Good Spanish style and tapas. Decent Cava to wash it down. It didn't disappoint
