Why I rated them this way: Because I found their services to be highly over priced, primarily because of charge structure, and customer approach/attitude: 1 I received an uppity phone call the day before works were due to start demanding payment upfront - this is not typical for construction industry work, typically you pay post-works. I paid dutifully. 2 they demand a 150 pound min charge, even for << 60 mins work. I guess this is why they demand prepayment 3 quality of sealant work is in fact good, but they stated the bathroom ceiling edging is best done with caulking apparently not a sealant - and that's not a service offered. 4 when I asked the day beforehand if they could seal more work so as to get better value they ranted about people 'always trying that on' I'm not surprised with their min charges!! and that it wasn't possible as they had booked in jobs either side of my appointment. Finally they agreed reluctantly to another window seal approx 5 min extra work 5 I felt the head office tone and approach is not customer driven and focused. The Chap who actually carried out the works was very pleasant in comparison. On the whole, I feel ripped off. Summary - I wish I had done the job myself for 5 pounds sealant cost.
I’ve used this company several times over the 10 years I’ve lived in Surrey to do sealant work in Bathrooms and so forth. Chris is always friendly and very helpful. The people who he sends are always polite, tidy and very quick. I feel you always get good value as some companies charge an additional per m charge. It then becomes too expensive to justify. The guys always do whatever you wish unless for technical reasons they recommend you don’t apply sealant. Much better finish than you usually see from Plumbers or builders. Their finishing touch has always made a big difference to any of my bathrooms. Definitely would recommend!
I've cut and pasted a review below from another user but edited to my own scenario, but pretty much the same complaint, which i have lodged with Surrey Trading Standards I am complaining because I found their services to be highly over priced, primarily because of charge structure, and customer approach/attitude: 1 I received a phone call the day the works were due to start demanding payment upfront - this is not typical for construction industry work, typically you pay post-works. I've used dolphin sealants on 2 of my jobs and the silicone on both if these jobs has peeled away and retracted after 2 years. Silicone should last years and these guys are over priced, messy treading mud through my clients house and thier customer care follow up was downright disgraceful and chirstopher dolphin was aggressive and dismissive in his approach to sorting the problems out. There are much much cheaper and far far better mastic men based In Essex called Tony
Really impressed with the work following a renovation project on our house- professional finish, colour match of sealant. Great job would recommend.
They never call back!
