Stood in the Mermaid queue and didn’t have 30 minutes to wait so checked Google and found this. Beautiful fish, scampi curry sauce and chips. Took them down to the far end of the promenade to watch the sunset. Can’t go wrong for £20!

Quite the BEST fish and chips in Barmouth. For a sit down treat in clean pleasant surroundings staff friendly and welcoming. The Dolphin served six of us with our chosen meals and took away six empty plates. It’s stood the test of time, been going there since the 1960’s! They must be doing something right
Just finished our fish and chips so good? Crispy batter great peas and curry and chips not fatty. Best we've had for a long time. Best we've EVER had. Thank you

Came here for the first time when visiting Barmouth, and although outside was a massive queue the staff we’re on it and still maintained happy faces, we’re friendly and just damn well excellent, can’t fault. My fish was big and the chips were proper chippy chips. Loved it.
