First time at this branch and it was well stocked and neatly organised. Prices are on the higher end but it’s easy to get to, easy to park and has a big variety of product.
I love visiting Dobbies Garden Centre Braehead! It's always a fun place to walk around and admire the wide variety of plants and trees. They have such a big selection, and it's great to see all the different kinds of greenery. The restaurant is a real treat. We joined the Dobbies Club, and it’s awesome to get two free hot drinks every month. Plus, they give you something special on your birthday, which is a nice touch. The downside is that not all the plants look healthy. It seems like they could use more water, and I've noticed a lot of the trees are often tipped over or lying down. I've actually picked a few up myself on more than one occasion. It's a bit disappointing to see them not getting the care they need. Overall, it’s a great place to visit, but it would be even better if they took a bit more care of the plants.
Wonderful staff, dog friendly and loads of free parking.
I spoke to Alison the Cashier/customer adviser she gave me great advice. I've been trying to get through to head office with a query and couldn't speak to anyone. Alison answered my query. I've been asked if I would consider hosting birthday parties for dogs. I enjoyed my lunch in Dobbies Garden centre. I had a baked potato with cheese. I like the Halloween display.
My wife has Dobbies plus card with 2 hot drinks per month. Over the past months our coffees have been Luke warm to cold. Yesterday 24 6 24 I returned coffees to be told temp was140 but I indicated its cold, assistant was not happy but replaced ,again coffees were cold. Dobbies please insure staff are trained on how to make coffees hot. We will try again. Considering cancelling card.
So I called them up and nobody answered. I tried ten minutes later and got a reply. I was looking for one of those gas cartidge fired weedburners. The bloke said he had them in stock. I drove over, eventually found a staff member and he showed me where they were and also told me they had no gas cartridges to make the thing work!!! Bit like going to test drive a car only to find it has no engine. Store should be renamed Dobbers.
I go to Dobbies often. I love the range of plants they have and the obvious care they've received. The staff are knowledgeable and really helpful, that can't be disputed. However, today was disappointing. The range was poor and quite a lot of the plants had blown over and others with signs of neglect. Come on Dobbies, you can do better. I'd also like if there was an evergreen section, other gardens centres have this.
What is going on with this shop? I won’t visit again. Caulders in Erskine will get my custom from now on. Having visited yesterday the plants in the outdoor area were very poorly looked after. They were under-watered and dying. To name a couple - The eucalyptus was bone dry and half dead at £79.99. The Pittosporum looked diseased. It’s a shame that plants are treated the way they are in this shop. To top it off the behaviour of the staff at the tills was abusive. They were shouting at customers to get in line; ONE LINE was shouted like a cattle ranch. One staff member was shouting at a man and woman to get one behind the other and they had to explain that they would be standing side by side as they were together! Another couple were shouted at by an older staff member to “not be cheeky” when they asked the woman why she was shouting. What an awful experience never to be repeated.
Absolutely shocked by the lack of care for the outdoor plants. Visited at 5pm on a Sunday. No watering being done and so many plants bone dry and wilting. They will take a lot of soaking to revive. I wouldn't buy plants from this garden centre as I'd not have confidence that they hadn't dried out at some time. Incidentally, one staff member was wandering about, obviously waiting to go home!
Staff man at the till was so helpful and polite and when quiet he assisted the young woman who was helping a disabled lady. Worth recognition as he also cleared and cleaned tables.
