Arrived at Berkhamsted Djs soft play and had two adults with me which I didn't book on with the the three children and myself.nThe women behind the counters name was Kym or Kim she was absolutely rude and stuffing a packet of crisps chewing whilst talking and licking her fingers she was very patronising and just should not be working in a child's environment with such a disgusting attitude.nnI explained on line it's cheaper even with the booking charges...nnI said it's not exactly busy in here she said actually it's fully booked which thirty minutes into being here it's still dead x5 adults and less then 10 kids.nAfter deciding we are not going to pay £8 after already paying £36 the two adults left.nThis will be the last time we come to this filthy place and your ridiculous prices.nnI also didn't feel comfortable my car details being written down on paper, with the charges you charge you should be able to afford a digital registration installed.
Our first trip since the refurb.nnWe were heading to check out the new soft play areas and my little girl who loves role play was excited to check it out.nnWe arrived and was asked for QR code and number plate and told “thanks”. That was all. We then checked out downstairs before trying to work out where the role play section was we headed up and saw a staff member tidying up! I asked if all ok to come up and she said yes. This was about 11:45-11:50 am I could tell she was tidying up and my little girl went in to the hair salon area and I started picking some toys up to “help” when I heard another staff member come in and say “I didn’t see HER come up” to which the other girl replied saying “it’s fine I’m going to give up soon anyways” I felt really awkward and disappointed as if it was just mentioned to us on arrival that it doesn’t actually open until 30 mins when the session starts or as we came up to pop back in a bit it would of been fine. I immediately got myself and my daughter out of there and came downstairs I mentioned this to the lady on reception. I felt extremely annoyed as it was lack of communication from their behalf and also I run a child’s play group to which I would never speak about a mum or customer referring to “her” and speaking as if the customer wasn’t there.nnI feel like if I was mum or guardian having a bad day or hard time that the customer service could have really hurt someone or made them give up with their day out with their children.nnI work in a play group to which I would try and make parents as comfortable as I could knowing how hard it is to get out the house some days.nnMaybe instead of shutting it for half an hour to every session there should be regular tidy ups upstairs so that when the end of session it isn’t that stressful to tidy up that the staff feel overwhelmed and stressed. Equally communicate and be friendly from reception!nnNot sure if we will come back I would much rather support a small company like little city who appreciate, explain their play rules and are kind to parents.
Love this place! So many things to go on and have fun.nVery colourful and appealing.nGreat friendly staff.

Hi, just wanted to give feedback about our party host Kaylen at DJs Hemel Hempstead on the 13/07/24, he was so lovely and made the whole experience delightful. He didn’t seem phased at all when I asked to bring the meal time and cake time forward. He went above and beyond to accommodate us which made things so relaxing especially when you have a room full of toddlers! He’s a credit to the team and definitely the reason I would recommend a party at DJs to friends. Please pass on my thanks.nAisling
