Dishoom Spinningfields is one of my favourite restaurants in Manchester. When it first opened back in 2018, it was Dishoom’s first restaurant in Northern England, and since then they’ve set a remarkable standard of both food and service quality and certainly left me coming back for more. The interior is super impressive, cool and unique. Dishoom is based on the old Irani cafés in Bombay, and the interior is so large and feels like no other restaurant in the city.nnMy go-to dishes are the Chicken Ruby with Basmati Rice and occasionally the Gunpowder Potatoes. The portion sizes are generous, and the rich spices of the curry are super good — it’s obvious they use great quality ingredients and seasonings.nnFor drinks, again the selection is vast, with my favourites being the regular Chai and the Mango Lassi, which are both really good. There is always a staff member walking around topping up tap water, so you’ll never go thirsty.nnThe pricing is a little high, but I feel it is worth it for the quality. Matka Holders can also roll a dice at the end of their meal to potentially earn everything for free, food and alcohol included, during certain times. This makes it all fun, being able to put the meal on the roll of a dice.nnDue to having an allergy, I can scan a QR code on the menu for the latest information, and all the staff members are well trained in dealing with allergies. They’re aware of coeliac disease and the danger of cross-contamination, and always keep my items separate from my friends’ when I dine in a group.nnOverall, this is one of the places to be in Manchester if you’re looking for good food with fantastic allergy awareness, overall ambience/vibes, food and service quality. It’s a place that you can go for a special occasion or even a quick lunch although a lunch menu / meal-deal offer would make it even more enticing for sure!.
The best Indian dining experience I have ever had. Spectacular, mouth watering dishes from starters to desserts. Everything made from fresh, high quality ingredients, fantastic combinations of spices & flavours. Beautiful, cozy and authentic atmosphere/ ambience. Friendly, professional & attentive service. Highly recommend this restaurant and hope to come back soon!
This place is an absolute gem, the hospitality's spot on. Staff were lovely, and the vibe's just right. The permit room is next level.nnFood's a good shout too. I'd recommend the vada pav, chole bhature, and Rubi chicken. Is a must-visit. It's wheelchair accessible. Booking's highly recommended, and don't forget to try out their mango lassi.
In the waiting lobby we were provided with free cups of chai which enlightened our whole mood while the table was being arranged.nThe place is too big.nWe had Butter chickenChicken Ruby, Dal makhani and Mattar Paneer out of which I liked Chicken Ruby and Mattar Paneer the most.nDal Makhani was okayish.nPrices were also decent.nService and food quality was too notch.nA wonderful experience for Indians with perfect blend of Indian spices and aroma with perfect vibe of vintage Bollywood style.
A must-visit restaurant if you’re passing through Manchester or any city lucky enough to have one.nDishoom is easily one of the best Indian restaurants I’ve been to — exceptional food, warm hospitality, and an atmosphere that makes the entire experience memorable.nnMake sure to book a few days in advance, as it’s always in high demand and for good reason. The service is top-notch; our server knew the menu inside out and gave us a detailed rundown before we ordered, which was actually very helpful given how extensive the menu is.nnNow, onto the real star the food. We ordered the lamb samosas, chilli chicken, Dishoom chicken tikka, ruby chicken, chicken biryani, mutton pepper fry, and garlic naan. Every single dish stood out, and what impressed me most was that everyone at the table had a different favorite; a true testament to the consistency and quality of the kitchen.nnWe wrapped up with house chai and rice pudding. The chai was comforting and aromatic; the rice pudding was decent, though not quite at the same level as the mains.nnOverall, Dishoom delivers an unforgettable dining experience, a perfect blend of flavor, service, and charm. Highly recommended
