We visited Dishoom for the first time on a date night, and it was such a lovely experience. The restaurant itself is beautifully styled a little on the darker side, but the interior design is stunning and creates a really cosy atmosphere.nnI don’t usually eat Indian food as I’m always worried it might be too spicy, but I was pleasantly surprised. Everything we had was very mild, full of flavour, and served in generous portions.nnThe staff were absolutely lovely and very helpful. When we first sat down, we felt a bit overwhelmed by the size of the menu, but our waiter was incredibly knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything to us, which made choosing so much easier.nnFor starters, we had the veggie samosas, which were delicious. We then shared a Chicken Kathi Roll a big portion and full of flavour. For my main, I had the Murgh Malai, which was not spicy at all and paired perfectly with a garlic naan and yogurt sauces. It was absolutely delicious and easily my favourite dish of the night. My partner had the Chicken Berry Britannia and loved it just as much. Big up to sunny’s star-tini.nnThe portions were so generous that we didn’t have room for dessert, but we’ll definitely be back to try more because we had such a wonderful time and the food was outstanding. This was genuinely the first time in my life that I’ve truly enjoyed Indian food!nnI don’t remember the name of our waiter, but he made our first visit even more special with his kindness and helpfulness. Highly recommend, and we can’t wait to return.
Brilliant meal in a Tapas style. Every dish was excellent would especially recommend the prawns which were outstanding. All the staff were great especially our server who was very attentive. Would recommend to book to avoid queuing. We will be back!
The best Indian dining experience I have ever had. Spectacular, mouth watering dishes from starters to desserts. Everything made from fresh, high quality ingredients, fantastic combinations of spices & flavours. Beautiful, cozy and authentic atmosphere/ ambience. Friendly, professional & attentive service. Highly recommend this restaurant and hope to come back soon!
In the waiting lobby we were provided with free cups of chai which enlightened our whole mood while the table was being arranged.nThe place is too big.nWe had Butter chickenChicken Ruby, Dal makhani and Mattar Paneer out of which I liked Chicken Ruby and Mattar Paneer the most.nDal Makhani was okayish.nPrices were also decent.nService and food quality was too notch.nA wonderful experience for Indians with perfect blend of Indian spices and aroma with perfect vibe of vintage Bollywood style.
Dishoom Spinningfields is one of my favourite restaurants in Manchester. When it first opened back in 2018, it was Dishoom’s first restaurant in Northern England, and since then they’ve set a remarkable standard of both food and service quality and certainly left me coming back for more. The interior is super impressive, cool and unique. Dishoom is based on the old Irani cafés in Bombay, and the interior is so large and feels like no other restaurant in the city.nnMy go-to dishes are the Chicken Ruby with Basmati Rice and occasionally the Gunpowder Potatoes. The portion sizes are generous, and the rich spices of the curry are super good — it’s obvious they use great quality ingredients and seasonings.nnFor drinks, again the selection is vast, with my favourites being the regular Chai and the Mango Lassi, which are both really good. There is always a staff member walking around topping up tap water, so you’ll never go thirsty.nnThe pricing is a little high, but I feel it is worth it for the quality. Matka Holders can also roll a dice at the end of their meal to potentially earn everything for free, food and alcohol included, during certain times. This makes it all fun, being able to put the meal on the roll of a dice.nnDue to having an allergy, I can scan a QR code on the menu for the latest information, and all the staff members are well trained in dealing with allergies. They’re aware of coeliac disease and the danger of cross-contamination, and always keep my items separate from my friends’ when I dine in a group.nnOverall, this is one of the places to be in Manchester if you’re looking for good food with fantastic allergy awareness, overall ambience/vibes, food and service quality. It’s a place that you can go for a special occasion or even a quick lunch although a lunch menu / meal-deal offer would make it even more enticing for sure!.
