Over 35 years ago I had an awesome prawn dansak. I’ve been hoping to taste one as good since then. Tonight I found it.
We've been customers with Dipa Tandoori for years & over the last year the food has been hit & miss! Your drivers are epic!. I've just had the worst curry delivered, it looks like slop & tastes nothing like we know it can! This will be our last order unfortunately I complained once before so I know they don't care, hence this review!
Ordered on a Monday of all days for asap but still waiting after an hour for delivery if I had known I would not have ordered and will not be ordering from them in future as I ac expect on a weekend they are busy but not on a Monday and if you schedule an order you cannot schedule it until an hour later it’s a joke
First of all, I should have walked out as soon as I saw some precooked potatoes in a big bowl at knee level, left there without a lid Anyway, got the order, open the Peshwari Nan bag and tried a small bite before sorting out my plate and as soon as I tore it in half, this orange colour weird looking dry mix inside looked suspicious. Anyway had a bite and it was just awful, it tasted off, and actually put me off eating anything else from our order. I had a small amount of the coconut rice and the lentil dish, but again, just tasted off. Really unhappy with it. Will not go back
Below a star!! better find other indian restaurant, there are plenty good indian restaurants and cheaper rather than this place. Bad customer service and self righteous, I told him I order online but he forced to say that I order by phone. Eventhough, I saw him my online order on my phone but he said that he could not read it, it was a largest font of that app. He was lazy to read it as He is a self righteous man. Moreover, I heard on their phone, a customer complained there was a food missing from delivery service. He always said the food ready in one hour although the app stated ready to collect. It was not a busy restaurant as I could see their kitchen. Quality of food? the taste were bad to average, other restaurants prepare much more better. They pour the curry/soup too much compare with the main disheslamb, chicken, seafood, etc. you would find several tiny pieces of it covered with a massive soup/curry. We usually can eat Indian dishes twice or three times for each dishes in a day 3 times meal every day, but not for this restaurant. I am really dissapointed!
Not even a star! The service was appalling!! Made a order over the telephone at 6pm to collect at 8.15!! Get there at 8, to have to reorder the whole order again. Asked for the plain nan to be a chicken nan and then the man starts shouting and waving his hands in my partners face. Verbally abusive and terrible customer skills!!!! We was NOT the only people who walked out empty handed!! After finally getting our money back it’s safe to say we will never ever be going back there again!! Shame after ordering from them regularly!! Disgusting. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE
Not worth the one star. Rang up at 6pm told me my order was going to be ready at 8:15pm. Got there and my order was not ready, they had lost my order. This was not the first time too. I then had to reorder with about 7 other people in front of me, and then when I asked to change my plain nan to a chicken nan, I then got verbal abuse from the man behind the counter. It was not only my order that had been completely messed up but other customers also. Absolutely disgusted, steer clear.
Excellent service and great food. Been using now for 11 years. Friendly staff.. half price food no longer available on sundays but food quality and portion sizes are considerably better.
My apparent chicken. Korma was just weakly seasoned water with chicken My peshwari naan tasted salty how?? Not even A mild taste of coconut. The most disgusting Indian I have ever ordered paid full price to feed my bin!!! Do me a favour and don't even risk it. Wish I had read reviews first!!
Disgusting food. I cannot believe the low standard of food. I literally chucked it all in the bin, yes thank god it was half price because if I had paid full price I would have asked for my money back ! Dark brown soggy chicken which was meant to be a korma, hard very perfumed rice, the mint sauce was orange. Yuk
