The grass was drier than an Ethiopian village and the whole place needs some care, but £5 for nine holes was pretty good. It's a very good course for beginners or casual players for a couple of hours on a simple par 3. Just watch out for the grassy bunkers, there's no chance of getting out of them.
Nice scenic grounds, good layout for a par 3 course, fair price too £5 for 18 holes. Totally spoilt by great lumps of dog poo left on greens and fairways, and dog walkers who let their dogs run across the holes that are being played. They also walk up the fairway slowly with their dogs when your waiting to tee off, or come out from behind trees or hills which is dangerous.
Needs some TLC to keep the fairways and greens at a decent level. Most bunkers are poorly kept. The course is badly marked out but its reasonably easy to find your way around. The holes are quite challenging for a pitch and putt at times, with some needing more than a pitching wedge to reach. But it's cheap and will take up a good couple of hours of fresh air and walking.
Average value for money, unfortunately the facilities need attention and with a small amount of attention to detail could easily be improved. Today the toilets had no toilet roll in any, which was not nice for 10 year old daughter. On top of that the gents toilet was fragrant and not in a good way! The hand drier didn't work and there was not soap. The course itself was ok. The bunkers were unkept and signage was poor, however the weather made up for it. The could be a great hidden gem. Put on some refreshments and smiling staff and the money will role in.
The guy who was in the hut didn't know what offers were on the website. No obvious signage of where each hole was. Started clearing away the flags at 4.15pm which is an hour and a quarter before the closing hours. The guy in the hut kept watching us to see if he could pack up. It was such a shame as it was my first time doing this sort of thing.
Could have been an enjoyable hour or so but slightly spoiled by them not accepting cards, so we had to cobble together coins, and with the course not being well numbered/sign posted. Ended up playing the third twice! Thought it looked familiar.
Could be better, no score cards, no tees no footballs for foot golf you need to take your own, the course is lovely but let down by the lack of organisation. So disappointing overall
Great for knocking golf balls. But watch out for irresponsible dog owners. Also the sh 1 t.
dont understand the game at all, but this is basically the only big stretch of grass in this town, so i like it.
Brilliant little par 3 course nice condition I've played a lot worse more expensive courses.
